Keeping the nation happy? Just get onto the streets and ask people if they think we should be acting even in a supporting role in Libya. How is Cameron keeping us happy by supporting the Arab states? That wont keep fuel prices down.

To those of you who are saying lets go over there and assist the rebels, how many young British soldiers lives would you trade so that Libya can be "free"? Because when you say " yes, i agree we should go and help to overthrow gaddaffi" make no mistake MORE good British soldiers WILL die. I dont know how Tony Blair and Cameron sleep at night...

We have had troops based in Germany for a long time it stems from world war 2 and then from the cold war days so that we had troops on the continent in the event of Russia making a move against Nato.

The Uk declared all combat operations were complete on the 30 April 2009, we have left a massive training and re-education team there that is still costing hundreds of millions. There are still troops based in allied neighbouring countries and the country is still in turmoil! Where did it get us? But yes your right, Afgan is the only active war zone

I know we havn't declared war on Libya, i think i should have said ( maybe they wouldnt be so quick to sanction it!) Our army is overstretched, we are in a RECESSION and can ill afford the hundreds of millions it costs to mount a military campaign, we are already fighting 2 demanding wars in different countries. Crazy

Another pointless war, more young lads getting killed in another dusty sh!thole. Maybe if the guys in suits @ number 10 had ever been to war maybe they wouldnt be so quick to declare it!

  17. Its been beautiful up here today in southwest Scotland. On to the beach with the family this morning, picked some big juicy mussels out of the rock pools for dinner tonight. Went for a walk in my tree's to see how they are coming on, seen a merlin some red kites and loads of other wildlife. My little lad Jak has had his first crawl about today... Cracking day. Hope you all had a good Sunday! R.A
  18. Ive seen a 8 inch greenmech safe track take a track clip ( hardened steel brace that hold rails to the sleepers ) and that warped the fly wheel, bent the drive shaft, smashed the anvil, punched a hole in the fly wheel housing. Cost us 3 grand with a new set of blades. 6 K sounds like a lot mate.... Get a second a opinion.
  19. Find a firm that needs a hand. Let em know your keen and reliable. Get to know the chipper in and out, drag brash/lift logs like a mad man, do a GOOD clean up after the job, make yourself useful, ask questions and dont moan. Good lads are hard to find, stick to the above and you'll be climbing/working in no time...
  20. Keep her chappin!- Running the chipper hard on big brash. Probably loads more just cant remember em!

  23. Il get the pics on when i get started. Cheers Robert
  24. Tidy bit of kit. I know its worth that all day but I couldnt justify £700 on a non Fac air rifle. Good luck with that.
