  6. When it dosnt matter anymore that your hands are always cut up...
  7. Never knew (Aukward) was a word... You learn something new everyday. How do you compete against that? Simple, we cant.
  8. I was doing 7 hour night shifts with about 5-6 hours of actual work in Wales last year on a blockade. 6 Nights a week £ 115 a night. Felling all night with a head torch on working a steep slope in the rain aint for the faint hearted though. All good Exp though. Get stuck in lad!

  15. Love that 1!!!!!!!!
  16. Not on the same scale as you guys but...We have a couple of woodlands dotted around our farms and plantations mostly Oak, Ash and Alder. The guys who work for us on the farm take wood out of there every March/April ready for the winter. I have caught people 3 times just helping themselves to OUR wood. Mad is not the word. Its just stealing other peoples property. Grr
  17. When im not running around the plantations im in the office. Especially when its as windy as this...
  18. big fell!

    Celox

Im with you there. Ive had the gauze stuffed into my back and neck, ricochet gouged my back leaving a 8/9 inch wound channel and some tissue damage on my neck that was awkward to get pressure on. Flushed with saline, loadsa drugs, lying on my stomach for 4 weeks, good as new. Probably stopped me from bleeding out and saved me. Better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it...
  19. Now then Sam, things are good. Had 4 Roe this last 2 weeks. Bloody fencing contractors left the gates open into one of my large fraser plantations and they found thier way in... Needless to say the freezer is looking healthy! Never shot Muntjac or CWD. I might have to venture south of the border soon to make it happen! Dam windy up here today!
  20. Pleasure mate. If you go ahead with it and start the training keep us informed on your progress. Good luck
  21. German Shepherd Dog League Working Branch - UK Check out the link. We've had 3 german sheperds now. Top dogs.
  22. Good luck in looking for work off the lads on here after that post ... Get in the library and get some reading done. You have to work to get Sh!t done!
  23. Is the dog in question intended to be trained for tracking or guard/protection purposes or both? The dog has got to want to work and a strong bond with the handler is a must. If you can get a good dog and the training is done properly i think this is the best example of man and dog working together. My opinions are based on a friend of mine from a while back who bred and trained a few dogs with this method.
  24. I eat a lot of roe and red up here. I would like to try Muntjac one day. Anyone tried CWD?
