  5. Times are most certainly hard, so many young lads 18/19 who have a wad of tickets and fresh out of college. There are so many that you've got to stand out from the rest and show your worth especially when i keep seeing people who will work for free or for the fun of it...

  10. Working 16/18 hour days at night, through sheer exhaustion and not thinking ive put the control unit of my xmas tree harvester through the windscreen when booming out... £650 pound to the john deere dealer! MAD!!!!!!
  11. 40k Nords, 15 k fraser, 6 k lodge pole and 20 k potted nord, spruce and fraser. Couple of 20ft nords but they are a ball ache so i leave em alone.
  12. Ive got about 70-80 of them in our deer fences around our xmas trees... Put up your fences as usual then wait 2 weeks and you can see where they have been pushing and scratching under them and thats then where you stick your gates. Dont cut the bottom wirer of the fence, make them step over it by placing some decent sized stones there. Wire them open for 2 weeks til they get used to using em.

  19. We use a chemical that we wipe on the leaders of our xmas tree's that promotes new bud growth/production and it is auxin based. Just means our tree's our fuller and do not have gaps in between the layers of growth.
  20. Most of the guys who work for us here are Lithuainian. Not much point in learning Lithuainian when all the eastern european countries use russian as a second language. Not so much the younger ones but all the older guys speak it, took me a year to get the hang of it properly.
