  5. Going to the Hilton sharks bay Sharm el shiek for a big family jollie. All the family are flying out tomorrow morn for 10 days diving, snorkelling and chilling out. Been a long time coming... Lets hope i dont get chowed by a shark! Anybody stayed there before?

  8. I will get pics next time I make one, when I was in Finland the lads over there showed me how to make a 'log stove'. You need a 50-60cm wide stem of hardwood and it needs to be 2ft/3ft high. Stand the log up on its thickest end and with a sharp saw bore down into the top of the log 3 times to make a triangle shaped cut through the middle of the log, go about 3/4s of the way to the bottom. Kick the log over on its side and make a another bore cut to meet up with the bottom of the triangle cut, do this a few times to widen it a bit. Remove the triangle shaped piece of wood from the top of the log and clean all saw dust out. Glug of chain oil, splash of petrol and a fire lighter and CAREFULLY light it. It smoulders rather than burns, chucks out LOADS of heat, hardly any smoke and can last days if you plug up the holes when your finished. It dont get affected by the wind and its handy at minus 27!!! Anyone seen these before? LONG POST...........YAWN!

  13. Na Yeti they were 20K plates, with a 20K Olympic bar. I will get back there eventually. I regularly walk outside and shoulder press my 100K log just to make sure im not completely losing it! Yeah welder-man send me the spec and a few pics, very good of ya.
  14. The Barony run a cs38 course in the middle of Feb but i need it sooner than that. Anybody know anyone in southwest Scotland/Cumbria that could help out?

    My great grandad died in WW1 at Ypres, my Grandad was 8th army landed in Sicily and fought his way through Italy and was wounded twice but made it through. Just thinking about what those 2 men did fills me with pride.
