  4. i like this..... "Those trees were more than 70-years-old and there was absolutely nothing wrong with them." “Those trees will take 30-40 years to get to anything like they were before they were chopped down. so...30 years or 70?
  5. this is my 30 yr old bedford ambulance. here's a photo of it a couple of months ago, looks different now with a new paintjob instead of the reflective strip. It has a sofa bed (just a normal living room type - i don't like the foam caravan cushion beds) and an old gas stove/grill/oven. not a live in vehicle by any means, just to mess about in the summer. i'll be taking it around the west country next month. the hills should be...interesting!
  6. Now sitting on a fly tipped chair in the shade on a council estate job. We are thinking of asking the boss to let us go early and make the hours up on a Saturday. It was too hot at 8am never mind half 12!!!
  7. on the weeing matter... the she wee has got to be the best product! Shewee Products - Shewee Ltd
  8. Check out this Cornish folk band, one of the best folk bands ever! Sacred Turf. I've uploaded their whole album to youtube so give it a listen and tell your mates (they split in 2008, so hopefully with enough interest they will get back together!!!) My YT channel [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-7hTdGpHC8]YouTube - Sacred Turf - Love A Jig[/ame]
  9. as said, more expensive. it cost me £8.50 to receive £230 t'other day.
  10. i've always been told to look after my back as it will never get 100% better after hurting it badly (from someone who did theirs in, in the 80's trying to lift a ford fiesta out of a ditch )
  11. they may be more expensive on ebay, but ebay sellers don't ask for your cs39 ticket!!
  12. fairly heavy ash reduction in the lovely rain today. i need a work camera (anyone have a fairly decent point n shoot for under £30?)
  13. i'm afraid she just isn't as fit as this entry currently at no1
  14. reckon it'll be a muddy one next weekend! dog isn't going, not sure if they are allowed on site. health n safety etc
  15. was working with my friend today, he has been working on these for the last couple of weeks, ready to be taken down to glasto this weekend. they are being used for the 'charge n chill' area where you can charge your mobile or whatever. (to me, it is the epitome of what is wrong with modern commercial festivals, but hey ho! can't live in the past)
  16. i wish! 3 of my mates went down yesterday in an army truck/painted caravan convoy. they'll be helping setting up the mutoid waste area. lucky bastards. have fun!
  17. i've just been on the festival website and they boast of.... haha - and they want to chop it down!! bad faeries!
  18. lol, i thought it was too good to be true. he is either going to be rolling in it, or will face a hefty prison sentence!!
  19. i've had a petzl for 2 years. its comfortable and durable. the stein seems like it would be ok in winter, but the padding looks like it would be hot n sweaty in summer!! petzl have bought out a new climbing helmet so that might solve your comfort issues!
