  1. Tree inside a tree from a beech removal a couple of weeks ago.
  2. Nice work!
  3. My 560 is an absolute animal on a 15" bar and also gets confused and thinks its a 70cc saw with the 20" bar (it has no problem with this btw).
  4. I can't see it (Ad Blocker) Nice to see my 200t sugi bar getting more action than me!
  5. Oh dear, i'll make sure i check mine tomorrow before climbing. Glad you didn't find out it broke the hard way!
  6. It's an ok reduction, you have left alot of growth on. but try to stick to the thirds rule (the remaining growth should be a 1/3 of the width of the branch you cut) and also don't be afraid to cut a small branch right off if it isn't adding to the shape or if you cannot achieve a decent growth point. for example to achieve a 1m reduction, often a 2m branch has to be cut off.
  7. I have been using both regularly for a while now (i own 560xp and company i sub to has 362). The 362 is ok, but that's about it. it feels very cheap, the chainbrake handle for example seems like it will snap easily from normal use. Performance wise, it's well below the 560xp. as with most of the new generation stihl's, the pickup is so bloody slow. It feels more like a farmers/landscapers saw ie the old ms390. The 560 is an absolute animal, even with a 20" bar cutting rock hard beech over bar length, it doesn't bog down or slow down at all. With the 15" bar on it's well balanced and not heavy at all so well suited for an all round snedding/cross cutting saw. I can't comment on the reliability of the engines or the longevity of the saws as i've only used them for the last 6 months. Hope that helps a wee bit.
  8. I've had them for 5 months now and they are holding up very well. i'll write a proper update in a couple of days with pictures.
  9. My mates Zil, so fun!
  10. Should be interesting on a 20" bar
  11. very nice!
  12. Good stuff mate, looking forward to the finished piece
  13. I did a stint with them, the are a good company, put you through lots of training if needed and i seemed to get kit that i asked for fairly swiftly despite not being based at their exeter hq. So thats the company. But yeh it's mostly utility work which is soul destroying to put it best. If sitting for hours waiting for the leccy company to turn off the power or doing really boring LV mewp work is your bag, then go for it
  14. pedunculate.
  15. Nokia 3210
  16. type a's here (with zipped openings at the back of the knees ) c's are way to bulky and hot, even in winter.
  17. A bit OTT to say the least. I'vc found days where it's a bit quiet or the same questions keep being asked but then you just log off and live life - come back on another day! It's how forums work. It's a shame that someone with 20 years of experience doesn't want to contribute.
  18. Hi marc, job's going well, working for a couple of different companies at the mo. one local and one near frome. enjoying self employed life! Hope you're keeping busy mate.
  19. Yes mate. (on 3/8) - i won't be using it for all day logging, that would be for 70cc+, but it can certainly pull a 20" bar through any wood, i'm confident of that after testing it on the beech. So a good lightweight saw for climbing when the 200t is too small.
  20. Hi Marc, hope you're all good. Got my 560 last month, just ran it full bore in a log to set auto tune, then used as normal. Awesome saw, even with a 20" bar buried in a rock hard beech stem it didn't even slighty slow down!
  21. Good call! He's the man!
  22. No problem with imori. On my second rope now. As has been said - pantin? Sent using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. What a legend. Gutted to hear this. 69 too - taken before his time i feel. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUl6PooveJE]Trigger's Broom - YouTube[/ame]
  24. Hopefully, if anything, spare parts will be able to be sent out. LS Engineering was a god send for obscure parts. I wouldn't waste my time trying to get the inept local dealer to order anything. Sent using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. It's been like this nr Bristol. ... Sat: lovely and sunny all day. Sun: rain. Wind. All day. Monday: lovely sunny morning, pishing it down afternoon and night. Tues: lovely and sunny all day. Today: pishing it down. All I ask for is a bit of consistency! Wish it would make its mind up. Sent using Arbtalk mobile app
