  1. Have mine done every year and my Chains standard practise to be covered and legal. If you work on site it is one of the first bits of paper asked for
  2. Job got cancelled and they didn’t want to leave materials on site they got fined last time they did, customer had already paid for materials might have some work for you eggs give me a call
  3. £300 fine first time caught they were more interested in the truck behind 9 tonnes over and pissing diesel
  4. Merc sprinter van 1 bag ballast 8 cement 2 sheet 142 mesh 6 x20 litres water tools and 2 chaps
  5. Just got stopped 1.2 tonnes over weight 4.7 on weighbridge
  6. Which 3.5 tonne truck carries the most, I’m not looking for a tipper just a flat back drop side. The figures I’m getting for a transit seem to give a payload of around a tonne,
  7. You need to check the the structure before you start work, if any damage is found during the next few years you will be blamed and your insurance will suffer Thanes water employ solicitors just for this scenario and have very deep pockets, check before check after, record your findings it is money well spent. If Thames are bringing this up they either know something or Suspect 12 m is a long way down to do a repair although I’m sure Eggs will be up for it
  8. If mine and Thames were asking I’d put a video survey down the pipe before starting work then you can’t be blamed for something that already existed you need to ask yourself why are Thames water making a fuss, cover your arse!
  9. I would suggest more like 5 to 10 gallons most will run off
  10. On the Old technology. on the instal how did you comply with EN 12453 /12978 to get ce marking I take you used 240 motors via inverter
  11. Nice but why faac
  12. You are right pile of poo another vote for husky although mines electric
  13. Don’t use came un reliable and far too power hungry motors are brushed
  14. Instal the correct system you will have 364 days a year opening plus a intercom you should get 20 openings on a rainy day. Gates need to be made for automation and I usually hang on a metal post to minimise the resistance on the hinges . You can’t have a magnetic lock. The intercom will have to be gsm so you can open the gate from wherever you have signal don’t use truck batteries use a single leisure battery don’t use inverters 230v gates are hard to make safe and use too much energy there is only one reliable manufacturer
  15. Is wire needed could you use electric fence nylon would be easier to instal tension each post and simple to fix
  16. And a good crap before leaving the house
  17. It’s on the internet and available across the pond at the moment from memory 15 metre of full disc cut per charge I might be wrong but it’s not cheap
  18. Even when you are under 3.5 tonnes you can still be overweight on the back axle!
  19. Just put a second service to the front of the loader
  20. My bosch 125mm grinder lasts for 20 mins trigger time with a seven amp hour battery you most definitely get what you pay for with batteries. the best 230mm battery grinder I have used is by metabo a very good quality machine. makita suffer with poor batteries dewalt are a joke for spares and quality. Milwaukee have some very good tools and a 350mm battery disc cutter with a large chainsaw to follow
  21. Now you need to post pictures
  22. Disconnect the battery then try to start it with a jump start then try by taking a 12v live direct to the solenoid with the jump battery connected check the flywheel moves through 360 degrees check the oil and water take of oil fill see if it’s white they are the simple checks
  23. Daughter and son in law moved out to north island tried for a while then got sponsored by nz company was plain sailing then
  24. Same goes for Essex I would take pleasure in collecting them for you!
