1. I would try not to take it to heart, If you can see a profit in being competitive, & want the work, then state your terms, reminding him that you have done the ground work already. Loads of this type of thing going on, just today had to deal with a not too dissimilar situation that has been ongoing for months, at the end of the day you want his money, earnt in a profitable way, frustrating though it is.
  2. Here's mine, clearing up after a tornado.
  3. That's just cruel!:laugh1:
  4. I had to insist he signed a waiver so there were no come backs from personal injury or back problems in the future, these things were designed for small people.
  5.
Thanks mate!

  6. I am familiar with this pawl, so I can show you if you like. I like the idea of a metal detector over there mate, could provide them with some interesting stuff for the displays.
  7.

I might well be interested in the dr mate, I want a learner legal bike for the wife, will it go back together as a road legal 125 fairly easily?

Pm me roughly what you would want for it if you like.

Good luck on your next race, we ought to sort out a meet at an event, have some fun!<img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin.gif.7a0f8b614f45b8779b9dba9cfd28c239.gif" alt="" />

  8. Fair analogy, & like drivers people develop bad habits as they learn, where as in a crew you have others to put you right.
  9.

All is well with my stable of bikes mate, got a practice enduro lined up for next week.

I'm looking for a learner/ road legal 125 4stroke trail bike too.

I like the plans you have for your bikes, sounds like fun to me!

  10.

Sounds a plan mate with a 4 stroke lump thrown in, & those old 80cc mx bikes are screamers!

My lot are all running well, I'm doing a practice enduro next weekend, with plans for a few winter events in North Essex, I'm on the look out for a nice little 125 four stroke (learner/road legal) too.

  11. If it's a regular thing I might be able to spare a bit of time, sounds fascinating mate.
  12. With a max bar of 15 inches, that would be a poor choice imo.
  13. The cap on my 346xp tightens in use, so I require a combi tool to free it off, I suspect these caps will give me a bit more purchase (no pun intended).
  14. I would think the 550xp would suit your requirements, or if you want even more, but maybe overkill on a 15 inch bar, the 560xp.
  15. I know how you feel! These caps look a nice time saver to me, it would be nice if Stihl had a similar setup.
  16. Welcome to the forum, I would say you will get a better skill set in a more safe manner by working in a tree firm. That is my opinion, but others may well differ.
  17. If you get stuck with it mate I can run it into a friends shop, they will get it off without bashing the granny out of it if it is a bit reluctant to let go.

    Good post.
  19. Spot on Rob.
  20. Thanks for this, just what I have been looking for!
  21. I think people are having a sit back & think after the build up of bad or degrading posts, I am, nothing wrong in having a light hearted joke & the forum has a lot of interesting posts going on, from my perspective things have got better, the only difference is the absence of muck getting thrown about, nothing boring about that imo.
  22. The forum rules are simple to understand, & make sense, & generally if someone is out of bounds, another member will point it out. It's the responsibility of us members to not break the rules/ insult or flame others in the first place, not have to rely on being 'nursed' by the mods, they have real jobs too...
  23. I do use the directory David, (brilliant resource)! You have nudged my conscience, I'm going to swat up & spend more time there.
  24. Good post mate.
