  1. Recently got myself a Cagiva Raptor 1000, Suzy tls1000 lump in a light trellis frame, 190kg, and rather short in wheelbase, it's a hoot to ride, I'm fitting r1 forks and a decent shock, motor does not require any hop ups, it's a fast nimble naked bike that got overlooked in the sports bike rush back in the turn of the century.
  2. That cheared me up:lol: Tough work, good on the lass:thumbup1:
  3. Did you load the photo back to front...if so it wants a sharpen:001_smile:
  4. You can buy knife blanks to work yourself, but depending on your expectations from the blade, a good old lawnmower blade is about the right thickness, if you can shape it by cutting and grinding/ filing cold then it would be an easy product, maybe use a hacksaw/jigsaw, and file to finish and rough sharpen, you could heat it and harden the metal once shaped, Google is your friend on the hardening process best suited to your needs. Disclaimer so I don't get slapped by multidirectional handbags...I'm no expert on metallurgy, but I think you are one of the rare people on this thread who is not after shaving his/ her legs with the finished product, but just wants to create a reasonable knife.
  5. I take my hat of too you, a dealer who gives good advice, and puts forward alternatives in sourcing a part. That's a sure sign of someone concentrating on helping above profit.
  6. Shiny or not, they hold up well against the opposition, and beauty is more than skin deep. If I was the sort to worry about my saws looking shiny or not I would pack it in, and get a job as a cosmipolitan hairdresser in Brighton. ..
  7. You need to get the cylinder off and clean the crankcase /fly wheel area out, the debris can get there through the transfer ports. Ensure there is no wire in there or the ports, or it will likely wreck things on start up.
  8. Just change your mind, it's a great saw:001_smile:
  9. These are all superb saws, in my opinion the best out there when all aspects are considered, the fact that they are a joy to own helps.

    Tiny echo!

Yes he will be getting a first warning, bless him, have a look at the last video I posted of the 1/4 inch chain and stihl bar in oak, the saw just flies with that combo, Rob D I believe does that setup complete, saves a few quid buying the bits and fitting the sprocket, which is threaded on.
  11. That would do it, I made mine up, which saved money, but that intelligent relay is OK, and it is all fused, you will need a deep cycle battery.
  12. I'm thinking after some research that stem injection might be the way, and incinerate anything removed later.
  13. OK mate, and a big thank you, I will advise.
  14. Great little video, and a fantastic looking tractor!
  15. Thanks for that, it is just one small plant at the moment, a considered aproach by the client is in order methinks.
  16. Thanks lads, a client asked and I wanted to be sure on it, any ideas how to get rid?
  17. Any one give me a positive I'd please.
  18. Sold mine last year, lovely bike to ride and own.
