  1. seems I hit a nerve, I am of about average intelligence I'm told, plenty of common sense, and a predisposition to fair play. Your politicising on this thread, and an inability to maintain a dignified response when it is pointed out, wrongly or not, paints a picture far more lucidly than I could....apparently, I envy you your inadvertent ability to self portray. Crack on me old fruit, your doing a thorough and most eloquent job of it, and I am sorry if I caused you any discomfort with my opinions on your post, I just disagree with you blaming victims of theft on who they vote for, having myself suffered twice over the years from tool theft in a big way.
  2. A good post, most theft in our trade, apart from the odd oportunist snatch on site, is commuted by career criminals, often quite sophisticated in methods and conections, these people deserve severe retribution imo. I'm still stunned, though not surprised at the political blame comments from an eggshell on a thread started by someone who has just suffered a break in...insensitive drivel...
  3. Fear not, it won't help them, I tried it and ended up waking up next to Medusa
  4. Your full of it...it's not a political thing, thieves are thieves, they chose that rather than work as it's easier for them, very cynical of you to use it as political propoganda. Also, a lot of hard working lads in this trade are in desperate situations trying to feed their kids and keep a roof above, some scrote knicking tools to look after his own needs is not justifiable...wake up!
  5. Personally I would not spend money on either the Husky or the stihl, too many people having problems from what I see, I use echo stuff exclusively now apart from my old xp346, and have had no issues whatever.
  6. Yep, there's a cat in the echo topper, maybe start there, do you know the type of tool to adjust the H &l screws?
  7. Spud, you interested in a port and sort on a newish echo top handle saw?
  8. It's easy enough to see if they are failing, check for leaks, and bounce each corner of the motor, it should settle without yoyoing up and down.
  9. I would think it would get a lot of abuse, and you would find breakdowns happening that you could not blame on the ' todays' hirer, as the acumilative abuse would start to show further down the line.
  10. I would expect a few years out of them, rather than months, are you sure the shocks are the problem?
  11. Absolutely my thoughts on the matter, thing is some folk are too thick to see it, if you have a peek at what these 'lovely old scallywags' have done through their lives it brings it home just how unpleasant these men are, and the upset they have caused innocent people. They are a nasty bunch, with criminal violence connections, and to sugest they are lovable and look after the people in their towns and villages....well, enough said about any idiot who thinks that!

Brilliant:thumbup:...until she starts buying them from there:blushing:
  13. That's worth more than two bob mate, a wise post:thumbup1:
  14. You just don't get it do you, victims of crime suffer long after the event, and don't get fixed at the point of justice, but I do agree in part, some people are just plain stupid....
  15. Supposition in part there mate, but I'm sure there was some of that going on, having a bit of a cash job and keeping quiet about it is one thing, someone nicking it after would be a right royal pain in the starfish, if they were ten or a hundred years old. These old duffers made a life of thieving off others, geld them and stick them in a cell with big Bubba...
  16. I got cleaned out a couple of years back, I'm still not laughing about that, or any theft that costs others dear, I have a sense of humor, don't fret about that, but I think some people just don't have the savy to see how this sort of crime affects others, so I will prove my humor if you get a bit of empathy for the victims, I think that explains my stance on thief lovers...
  17. A bit of thieving off anyone is bad, and remember who pays for the courts and prisons, us not so rich people....
  18. Spare a thought for those who lost family heirlooms etc, and hard earned wealth, if you admire those who inflict that on others, and the general taxpayer, you could do with a long hard look at your reasoning.
  19. That's a sickener mate, thieves of any description need slotting.
  20. I take it this is tongue in cheek, the first paragraph, have a look at some of the previous these people have done, not to mention this crime in itself which has cost the honest hard working tax payer thousands... So answer this, do you in all honesty condone this group of thieves?
  21. Any thief creates victims, and they care not who they hurt, nothing anyone says can change that, you can call them what you like to try and romanticise it but the are all just worthless scum.
