  4. My new logthief mantrap proved so efficient on trial run with groundy jon, that we decided to implement it with no furthur test runs
  5. Bought this 010av off fleabay about a mounth ago, its in realy good nick, amature back garden use only, do I run it on 50/1mix? Oh,anyone got a manual to sell/ swap for a quails egg, old prawn, or dried worm off my patio?

    Welcome, regards kit it's already been posted,but Jonsey will give good advice. have a look at petzle vertex c/s helmet, might be more expensive, but has a longer life.

  9. Dont know what model the dolmar is, but it looks a rip-snorting kind of saw, had all my dolmars nicked about 10 years ago, but they were good saws.

  14. That sums up what i'm getting at, you can take the coil (round search head) off the shaft, and still use the thing . :ohmy:at least I can't forsee me cutting myself with it!

I have bought a metal detector to check for steel rods in stump grind jobs,fed up blowing teeth off! field tests on wet oak give me a good signal at 300mm, can just about pick up 15mm bar at350mm, that means I can tell if the tree was planted with metal rod as suport, in a stump of 600mm diameter , and likely 700mm,most things that size will have grown off centre to the bar with prevailing wind,lean etc. but if you were to take one up a tree to test for bracing you might get sent to the funny farm!,can buy basic kit to do the job for about£150. anyway off up the beach now to find that which others have lost!
