  1. I prefer stihl, but either that or husky are good, go for a profesional saw if pos. (stihl ms 260), 40-60cc,if you chose to go beyond a 15 inc bar bear in mind that you can more easily catch your toes with it when snedding(cleaning side branches on a felled tree). Always use stihl or husky 2 stroke oil,and keep your chain sharp, and tensioned correctly.hope this helps.
  2. 2nd. from last looks like an 'ariel square four' chop.
  3. Give it fresh petrol mix, oh, and post a pic!
  4. Good little chipper, keep blades sharp, and watch out for ground/grass unnder exhaust outlet, it points down at the floor and burns the ground. I put a slab under it to disperse the heat.
  5. Looking good to me, considered email address as well?

The460 is a cracking well made saw with loads of mid range grunt.
  7. That cop in the vid was super sharp!
  8. Shall get some and post them, the tree has been knocked about a fair bit, its on the south of a fence line, took a lean in Oct 87, and got its crown 'adjusted' for sticking its nose over the fence! I have known this ash for a few years, and admire its fortitude.
  9. Retention of a pecentage of your quote can be quite a short period of time, if the consrt. or management firm you quote to are moving on fast with their build schedule, assertain the retention time, and also ensure that you removed the specified trees with no responsibility regards clay heave,etc...
  10. I have completed/ had my work signed off by two construction companies. you are going to have fun getting all of the agreed contract money in one lump. they tend to rush you for a quote, pin you down, then also want you to drop everything to kill and remove the trees and roots. when you get on site one may find that the job you looked at has changed dramaticaly regards the topografy, or landscape. bad spelling ..good point. oh, do not put all your eggs in one basket!
  11. I have to post this one, it is on a venerable ash, not big,not even handsome, but none the less.......
  12. Great vid! bring on the next one!
  13. I'd put a lock on that mate......keep her out,or you may get evicted!!
  14. Reported it to 'gumtree', a few more reports will snuff this one out, 'report this item' is in the advert, come on lads, give them some!!!
  15. Would be oak,ash,sycamore, leylandi,eucs.
  16. Ok, what size is it,have you a reciept proving age/loler ticket, if these criteria are good I may be interested, post or pm me, thanks.
  17. Ta D B, 50/1 it is then!
