    sthil 200t

If no joy, have a word with Spudulike on here,he may be able to help,or tell you the best aftermarket supliers. Good luck mate.
  4. Just dont roar the hell out of it on a big takedown for the first few tanks IMO,others will say thrash it from the off,but it does no harm to give it a nice easy couple of tanks building it up to full chat a you go.
  5. Looked well brittle,your 200t sounds well crisp,nice work.
  6. The guy probably wanted to get it checked by the old bill,& new that saying it was deffo his would get a response out of them, rather than 'it could be mine'.
  7. He misses you Felix,He loves sitting on your lap in the van,now you best explain who/what Billy is!!!
  8. Sorry Felixthewhopper,no mor kisses then?
  9. I never gave it to you Felix,I'm not that generous! I cancelled todays climb & had a load of pricing to get out the way,so it has been a constructive day.
  10. I have work booked,2 euc dismantles, but I dont want to ruin the lawns beneath,& getting over man flue, not wanting a soaking,so I may put it off a day.
  11. I always give an air cooled saw an easy time for the first couple of tank fills, turning them off every five minutes or so to cool down,as they free up over a few tank fills let them work harder. In my opinion an air cooled motor does want a bit of time to settle itself in,as the engine temperature is more variable than a liquid cooled (such as a modern enduro bike). The important bit is not to load the engine hard,& dont rev it flat out when not in the curf.
  12. You could have a word with spudulike on this forum,he may well be able to look after your needs with a good second hand saw,as it is a minefield market going second hand,or have a chat with Jonsie (FR Jones) who advertises on here, good for a new saw at a good price. I would tread very carefully if you try & buy second hand from an unknown source,or even avoid it,but Spud is a good man,& knows his onions with restored saws.
  13. Ahh bless...but she looks quite happy about her new circumstances!
  14. :001_smile:I have done it by putting four washers under the pot.
  15. Thats fun,I like the idea.
  16. I have had my 05 one for about six years now,it has been abused to the extreme, brilliant off road if you are after getting 2 people & a bit of climbing kit to a job, great turning circle. The reliability & lack of rust are beyond top notch,it is not a motorway blaster, but will get you there...one day,top speed about 90mph,happy cruising speed about 65mph. Superb little car, mine is a keeper. Rant over!
  17. That about sums it up in my experience, you can get away with old fuel up to a couple of months old in a modern 4stroke motor,in a high reving 2 stroke you realy need to give it good fresh fuel,or suffer the potential problems that we all know about. Get an old car or the like,& it will run on most anything, low compression engines designed for low/poor octane fuels, the old series ex military land rovers are a classic example,or go back a bit the fergie petrol parrafin tractors, get them warmed up on petrol & they will run on parrafin,a much thicker fuel. Modern high performance/low emission engines, with todays 'petrol' are going to be fussy about what you put in the tank.
  18. Tough one Stephen, you did the best you could by the dog,sad times..
  19. Cool bananas, good you got it sorted nice & easy. Modern petrol goes off after a couple of months,!8 just about guaranteed this to be the fault.
  20. Good people.
  21. Sounds like petrol gone sour, its the first & cheapest place to start.
  22. The perp of that must be a nasty bit of work.
  23. Stunning work,& lovely figure in that wood.
