  1. I dont own one, and have never used one. I think when was it LAST inspected would be more relevant to when it was NEXT due to be inspected:sneaky2: As has been said, most of this is assumption and conjecture without full disclosure of ALL the facts about the working life of this strop.
  2. Leylandii heartwood would be excellent as it is actually cypress not pine- a cross between cupressus macrocarpa (VERY durable) and either lawson or nootka cypress. The sapwood will rot very fast, the heartwood will last for years. Splitting is the best for reasons mentioned above, aswell as not exposing endgrain, but TBH you can get away with sawing it and still get a good many years use. You will have more wast than shingle though, even with a narrow .325 chain.
  3. Im sure we all stand corrected then:001_smile:, and certainly speaking for myself there was never any offence intended, but as I am sure you understand, flailing goes right in the face of everything we are told.
  4. Is that a Landini or a New Holland in your Avatar Nick? (purely out of interest BTW?)
  5. The best way in cornwall is to ring the council JK team and get them out.
  6. Wicked stuff Stevie- what line is that you're using there BTW?
  7. YOu should be serious TCD- the cornish mafia will be on Brunels Bridge at the first whiff of foreign invasion:lol: Seriously- this has NOTHING to do with 'turf wars' or ANYTHING like that. It is completely ridiculous that anybody has even sanctioned work being given to a contractor that will have to travel 400 odd miles in this day and age.
  8. hAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA The 390 is great.
  9. Im guessing around 15k?? What did you think of it plastic-wise TCD?
  10. Possibly due to the Libyan situation, but not the Arabs- they have upped production to combt rising prices caused by that tosser Gidaffi. About 60p/ litre down here at the mo.
  11. That just about sums up my (awful) memories of the 'arsehole of England'
  12. WTF are you doing A: coming from norfolk, and B: flailing knotweed. I live in redruth and find it ridiculous to say the least that you are even considering crossing the country to flail knotweed!!!! I have a 10" chipper, and I can supply you with numerous contractors names, but like i say- this is ridiculous! Edit- is this site on the Porthreath road, the B3300?
  13. There are a load of threads on Celox.....Arbtalk.co.uk | Discussion Forum for Arborists - Search Results
  14. Far out. I was up a tree a few weeks back and saw this really weird thing that was really small, but in between 2 mahoussive engines on a nearby line. Apparently it was a special machine for cleaning plant sap off the rails called a rail head treatment train.......I have just googled it, and got this pic....I am now wondering if that is the ghost train maybe- check out the steam and stuff from the tanker things its towing..
  15. LOL see what you mean. That could maybe have been the nuclear flask train....that is pretty odd, and only travels at night unless in exceptional circummstances. They have some pretty weird stuff on the railways mind. Never saw that though.
  16. I love the fact that he describes himself as a 4x4 breaker, then goes on to describe its salient points such as no rust on aluminium body panels!! PMSL
  17. I thought it would be taken as read that i meant pick-up-truck mate....but was being a bit lazy and abbreviated it to pick-up.....sorry:001_rolleyes:
  18. the closest thing to a ute would probably be a pick-up over here.
