  1. It was a joke referring to skyhucks avatar location thingy and stev blairs comment:blushing:
  2. My hero:thumbup:
  3. Butler- i see you arent from the mainland.......Never you mind is very close to out in the styx BTW.
  4. Ah- well im one step ahead of you there....you see all those mowers in my barn....well the chipper and tree gear is just a decoy, im actually a gardener anyway:001_tt2:
  5. I am told that Scag mowers are very good. A mate has a zero turn one which he is VERY pleased with. Edit- I was going to add that TCD would be on here in a mo, with good experience and advice.....TCD you must have posted at the same time as me lOL
  6. As above!!
  7. Lets not have TOO much of a derail guys.
  8. Im not sure that this is a personal thing at all Steve- merely alot / several concerned arborists who may well be wondering about the state of their own steel core flip lines, wanting as much clarification about one that has failed as possible, in order to make informed decisions about life saving equipment.
  9. Fair point. Sorry.
  10. Great Pics you lot. I have bought one of the smaller pulley Blocks from Yvonne, and i have to say it is every bit as nice as it looks. I had a postponement oin fridays job where i was going to test it, so will now be waiting until thursday 3rd march, but I will be checking it out then in use. Whoever wins it will not be disappointed as far as i can tell so far. (It wont be me as i dont own a camera lol)
  11. I dont own one, and have never used one. I think when was it LAST inspected would be more relevant to when it was NEXT due to be inspected:sneaky2: As has been said, most of this is assumption and conjecture without full disclosure of ALL the facts about the working life of this strop.
  12. Leylandii heartwood would be excellent as it is actually cypress not pine- a cross between cupressus macrocarpa (VERY durable) and either lawson or nootka cypress. The sapwood will rot very fast, the heartwood will last for years. Splitting is the best for reasons mentioned above, aswell as not exposing endgrain, but TBH you can get away with sawing it and still get a good many years use. You will have more wast than shingle though, even with a narrow .325 chain.
  13. Im sure we all stand corrected then:001_smile:, and certainly speaking for myself there was never any offence intended, but as I am sure you understand, flailing goes right in the face of everything we are told.
  14. Is that a Landini or a New Holland in your Avatar Nick? (purely out of interest BTW?)
  15. The best way in cornwall is to ring the council JK team and get them out.
  16. Gotta be I would have thought.
  17. Wicked stuff Stevie- what line is that you're using there BTW?
  18. YOu should be serious TCD- the cornish mafia will be on Brunels Bridge at the first whiff of foreign invasion:lol: Seriously- this has NOTHING to do with 'turf wars' or ANYTHING like that. It is completely ridiculous that anybody has even sanctioned work being given to a contractor that will have to travel 400 odd miles in this day and age.
  19. hAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA The 390 is great.
  20. Im guessing around 15k?? What did you think of it plastic-wise TCD?
  21. Possibly due to the Libyan situation, but not the Arabs- they have upped production to combt rising prices caused by that tosser Gidaffi. About 60p/ litre down here at the mo.
  22. That just about sums up my (awful) memories of the 'arsehole of England'
  23. As above.
  24. Aaaah. Very cute!
