  1. Yeah Friday evening was a nightmare for you Dave. You lined up the mechanic for tuesday then?
  2. Come again????????????? They are good machines IME but far from class leading:confused1:
  3. I built this one myself. The bottom half is from an ali dropside sherpa, the top half was commercial vehicle sides that i adapted. The top is going to be slightly redesigned to have a fully enclosable roof at some point.
  4. Horrific. I hope nobody dies, although it seems that there will be fatalities. I was meant to be going through it tomorrow.
  5. This was simply too much of a timesaver not to share it with you. _____________________________________________________ 1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl... 2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom. 3. In one smooth movement put the cat in the toilet and close the lid. You may need to stand on the lid. 4. At this point the cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this! 5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a 'Power-Wash' and 'Rinse'. 6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door. 7. Stand well back, behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift the lid. 8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off. 9. Both the toilet and the cat will be sparkling clean. Your sincerely..... The dog!
  6. Could you not simply extend the Ali?
  7. On one occasion out of four that my wife's horse lorry was stopped she was 50kg overweight. VOSA were human about it and told her to be more careful about weight, and even made some suggestions as to how she could avoid doing it again- they looked in her lorry and made basic suggestions such as not taking unnecesary kit with her etc etc. They also warned her to get a brake pipe sorted and gave her the GV9. No worries- a brake pipe corroded and slightly overweight. Fair play on the GV9 we thought. (It did cost her hundreds in missed appointments, but rather we found out like that than at the potential crash site!!!) There were 3 other occasions, with a couple of contradictory (to themselves) findings, but the most ridiculous occasion was the last time, when they stopped her in her new lorry, went over it with a fine toothcomb and all they could find was one of eight pop rivets holding a small piece (about 12"x6") of cosmetic chequer plate was missing. They attempted to give her a GV9, but failed as the policeman who was with them pointed out how inordinately petty they were being and that it was a waste of everybody's time and money. The only reason I posted this is that after reading what has pecome a rather petty, and heated, thread, I wanted to point out that yes VOSA are doing a worthwhile job, but also that yes, they can be petty, power crazed little tossers too. Like everything else in this world there is no single rule that fits all of us.
  8. Not sure as its dark.......but its not raining!
  9. Dont worry- they will have stretched soon and you will be thinking how tatty and old they look, and that maybe you should have bought a size smaller lol!! (this will probably only take a few weeks)
  10. Yeah right:001_rolleyes: NOTHING will stop that.
  11. I think you have managed to keep/ bring out the colours of the timber beauifully. Dont you find that Danish colours it all a bit yellow? I started using these guys nowadays, Ian Leach recommended them on here ages ago. They are really nice products.
  12. Ooooh matty thet is flippin' sexy mate. Really really attractive. Its no wonder people keep asking for them.
  13. BTW the cheapest place (I think in the country) is WA Allen and sons just outside St Austell too fpor BFGs.
  14. BFG all the way for me. Western power use them, not coopers. IMO they are the best road legal mud terrain out there. The longevity and grip is phenomenal.
  15. I ONLY cut off the ones that annoy me, and leave the rest........ Is this right or wrong?
  16. Anybody got any of these kicking around in good condition? I am ONLY interested in THIS EXACT TYRE Thank you.
  17. I have never found that thread through the search function. I think I got it last time through the Lounge?
  18. Im not a fan of off roading as it were.....I do enough at work TBH. My brother is and had coe to visit and we ended up at this off road site. I started with an already bent track rod, and it just got worse. We strightened (ish) it a couple of times, and that bog was pretty rancid at the bottom. I winched myslef out, but soon after bent the track rod so badly the tyres were jammed on the chassis and i eventually snapped the winch wire and it cost me 2 half shafts and a cv joint. Bugger.
  19. I went off roading with my defender once with my Brother. I got a bit wet......
  20. Great to split. If its in anything approaching millable sizes it is very sought after. At least, it is down here!
