  1. I spent a few more hours at the wife's grave today. She still thinks its going to be a pond....
  2. There's a pic of yours in your avatar Dave!
  3. Or you could speak to these guys..... (click start at about 5min.15) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f8SCSKfK58]Pimp My Wheelie Bin.m4v - YouTube[/ame] (BTW, beware the hip hop they are using is full of very bad language if that offends you etc.)
  4. There are companies who can help I think..... Buy wheelie bin accessories products at CNM Online UK
  5. :thumbup:Congratulations:thumbup:
  6. Yep pics would help, plus diameter of tree.
  7. Depend on the species of oak that it is. For example, if it is q.robur or q.petrea then you wont need to treat it at all, and it will last for eons, indoors or out, whereas if it is q.cerris you cant use it structurally or out of doors. For outdoor use you will want to ignore or preferably remove the 'sap'wood which will rot off.
  8. IMO all those things like lemsip just keep it going. They are full of nowt but paracetamol caffeine and flavouring anyway. get a shed load of chilli and garlic down your throat- maybe fried up with some veg like carrots etc, wear a load of clothes and an extra duvet and sweat it out in bed that night. Then man up:001_tt2:
  9. I believe that if your landlord fits the stove then they have a duty to get it done properly. If you do it then you can do what people have been doing fine for eons with no problems.......do it yourself. I did the flue on my mains gas rayburn and when i moved out of the property the council had it checked and it was fine, and you are only installing a woodburner after all.
  10. Quite cool. BTW what does grtz stand for?
  11. Just trying to offer a Public service.......
  12. Punctuation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  13. After initially not really liking my 362, it has grown on me a bit, but is still a million miles from its predecessor. However, from reading the 560xp thread I am VERY glad i bought the stihl not the husky this time, as although it has taken a LONG time to run in, it has not been at all unreliable.
  14. Shame you are not closer. I have a beautiful little stove in excellent condition with a clear view glass which is surplus to requirements that you could have bought for a little over your budget.
  15. Just Call Kevin in service at B-trac. The guy is a genius. Tell him EVERYTHING about the machine and what has been done to it so far, and like as not he will put his finger straight on it- he always has with my vermeer chippers.
  16. Although bobcats were one of the first, and have become the generic name for skidsteers, they remain fairly budget machines, which is where the longevity problems arise from. A frim I worked for in the late 90s had two of them, and exactly the problems described above were recurrent. In the end he swapped them both for New Holland versions. These were slightly more powerful and smoother overall,.....however, it could have been because they were a touch newer albeit second hand. He found sourcing parts for these machines easier than the Bobcat machines too. I always found that with the two levers both pressed fully forwards that the machine would veer to the left.
  17. Hahahaha:lol: Actually he paid us to do it:biggrin:
  18. Its not being a pro user that is the issue, you have to be an existing or 'known customer' to the supplier before you can have stuff sent over the internet. i.e you have to make a face to face purchase and have the proper hand over from an employee of that supplier in the first instance. Dave (CTS) you have done this, as have many on thius forum, at Arb fairs, making you an existing customer.
  19. Right around the corner Slack.
  20. They were felled onto the foreshore as access otherwise would have been a nightmare. Waited for high tide then towed out with the boat. It will all go for firewood except for one which we will put on the mill. Some of it had ben in the water / on the foreshore for ages anyway and had to be removed.
  21. I am not reallly working this week as i have Olly (my son) for half term, but i made an exception yesterday to help a mate out on an interesting little excursion geting logs out of a river on his job. It was near Falmouth in stunning Cornish surroundings.(BTW the old chap was the tenanat who lived in the house where the trees were felled, not the guy I was helping LOL). It was a very high tide.
  22. I like your new truck lots. Great set of pics too. I take it you are mining? What are you mining for?
