    It doesnt actually say his employer asked him to do it, it says 'he was asked'. The owner of the hotel (presumably his employer) said she was away and would have had tree surgeons in to do it, and he says he should have tied his ladder to the trunk not the branch. It could have been the other gardener who asked him to help. We dont know. TBH i reckon the judge should have told him where to go, and to stop wasting taxpayers money. It was a stupid error made by somebody who had no business being there- i mean this stuff is joked about in nearly every childs comic/ jokebook/ playgroung there is. I have to say that he sounds like a bit of a fool to do it, and his mate on the ground footing the ladder and presumably watching, an even worse fool. I reckon that after the event he was very embarrassed, and wanted to shift the focus of blame to save face, and some low-life solicitor has egged him on too.

    Had haix for years- protector pros- 2 pairs in the last 4 years, and the second pair are still going strong. There is a small amount of the side of the sole that is coming away from the boot, but nothing to worry about and it doesnt seem to have compromised waterproofness etc. Steve- salomons are ace walking boots. I have had a few pairs and cant fault them.

    I have a 110 tipper and it is possible to fill the tank nearly full without leaks. My mate has a 130 and he can only put £20 in his. I notice he has the older leaky type filler cap. What do you have cap-wise? He is toying with the idea of running a pipe to the cab rear bulkhead or something so it can be raised up. Given that his wheels rub the butt tho when loaded, he is going to raise the height of the butt a little bit, which should alleviate the fuel problem too.

    For softwood sawlogs the minimum top diameter allowed is 18cm, although TBH i wouldnt really want much in that size. When i get small stuff like that from Euroforest i sell it straight on to cahinsaw carvers for mushrooms. Really about double that is necessary to make any real money, depending on what the end product is.

    Not sure i understood your question Charlieh. What sort of specs do you want to know? What constitutes a sawlog etc sort of thing?

    The sun was amazing at 6am today- a burning orange-red globe just hanging in the sky....but i didnt have a camera ready...Amazing pics guys.

    I see what you mean...The deutz (which is also air cooled) does have a shaft coming out of both ends, but the shaft was turning the wrong way for the hydraulic pump, so the engineer put an extra pulley behind the flywheel drive pulley, and mounted a layshaft running under the engine which he raised up a bit driven by a belt from the extra pulley. If you see what i mean. Ill try to find some pics if i have any.

    Get shot of that poxy petrol. and put a diesel on it. Those kohler petrols arent worth throwing money after. I had a deutz twin cyl put on mine, and another surgeon down here recently put a little kubota on his. We are blessed with the most incredibly competent agri engineer there is tho, which made things easier. The machine is worth sorting tho, as it is totally bombproof compared to nigh on all the other 6" tow-behinds out there.
