  1. talking of pedastools maybe you need to climb down off of yours , im glad you both passed and do not take anything away from either of you . i was simply stating that there are too many guys pass their 38/39 and strait away want a pay rise , i can happily sent 2 teams of two out and satasfy hse , at nopoint did i say that the course was easy or make a mockery of you passing it , as for what you have heard about me it does just go to show how easily you can listen to a crock of crap . if you would like to meet for a chat and clarify any of the above i would be happy to do so and i do not mean that in a nasty way what so ever . In simple terms well done for passing your 38&38 , i know the test has becom alot harder than when i did it at merrist wood back in 2003 .
  2. this is what really gets my back up , you dont pass your cs38,39 and get a pay rise , you learn to work efficently and gradualy start working at industry pace , i have had the same with guys fresh out of college that think they know what they are doing, and without sounding arsey i really dont think that a fellow new climber is in any possition to comment on weather a fellow newby climber deservs a pay rise !
  3. twas down at the end of the M5 near the slip road to the A30 , looked identicle , the job was at night to crane some trees off of the bank , i was tempted to turn round and see if i could have a climb lol
  4. Hiya were you guys working on the M5 about 6 weeks ago ?? im sure i saw that mog as a brove past
  5. i will have a look at the pressure relief valve tomorrow morning and see what happens , will also charge the system from the workshop compressor . your most certainlyu right about there not being much room and having to take several thing off to get to what you need to fix , like an injector pip as we found out today lol .
  6. sorry steve did you say 50k lmao
  7. thanks steve , we ahve got air comming to the main distribution valve beside the rear nearsid mug guard , and air in one side of the valve but thats it , the wiared bit is that the system does not pressurise enough for the blow of valve to work , to be honest ater having the mog for less than one month and already having spent a grand on it im really thinking of taking it back unless i can get it sorted tomorrow
  8. Evening chaps , have only now got in from work after fitting the brand new air compressor and guess what ???????????????????? The bloody thing still is not building air and the blow off valve is not blowing off at all which leads me to thing that there is a major air leek somewhere but we csn not find it at all , the wierd thing is that only one air tank is filling with air very verry clowly(1BAR in 20 mins) so after spending a grand and several many hours the fecking thing still aint moving , at this rate the only way i will be moving it is on a low loader back to a man in guildford !!!!!!! any way guys i would be really really greatfull of any advice you may have . Regards Dave
  9. pull your tongue out of his arse you great puff lol
  10. In all fairnes some of us do sell a good chipper , i sold my TW190 , it was just over 2 years and done 600 hours , before i sold the machine i had the rotor bearings changed . I think the problem is some of the people selling chippers and honesty , If i was looking at a chipper and thought i may have to change the engine no matter what the price was i would be leaving it there , if a major component like the engine needrs replacing it does not say alot for the rest of the chipper really
  11. the only problem that i know of with the 125 is with the rocker bolts , if the machine has not been well looked after or poorly maintained then the thread to locate the rocker bolts can be stripped which will require helly coils , other than that i do not know what it could be that he needs to get in from the states , timberwolf hold every part for all of their chippers on the shelf . if i were you i would be staying well clear of it
  12. if you dont wanna go to the police you could always invite 2 or 3 of your mates roung to your place one afternoon and give him a shout to quote for some plastering , once he is in your house beat the life out of him good and propper then T bag his missus ha ha
  13. a new Skylotec harness that must be ready for sale by now !! i could do with a new tachyon rope keeping back if you wouldnt mind justin oh and a grey kask helmet
  14. well done mate i would have had to give her a good dry slap and then the huby would of had the steel rake handle or grain shovel round the back of the head . anyway im real sory to hear about what you went through mate and realy hope you get your own back BIGTIME
  15. did anyone see marco pierre whits toast of britain ?? he went out with a tem hunting the grey squwirell , they were using lopprpoles to disturb the dreys to get the squirrels out so that they could shoot them , nyway Marco got fed up waiting and decided to fire off both barrels the the drey to try and speed things up. funny as feck . But in all seriousnes i did not hear anyone kicking up a stink because of what they were doing at all .
  16. Tell you what tommer , if you give trist a shout see if he wants to get a standard bit for a brace and bit and i will fabricate him an auger for doing the job , i have made a few before , fair enough it will be a PITA having to do it by hand but to be honest i would not use a drill as the speed of the drill can dammage the intenal structure . any way i will try to give him a call later but give him a shout anyway as i may not get chance to call him ,
  17. true and if they cant find one there they can look in the local rag and find one the not only will "lop and top" their trees but will also clean gutters and facias and possibly be up for laying the odd tarmac drive mind you there is a firm back in brians town thats a bit like that and they guarante emaculate tidyupps !!!!
  18. i think that if the climber is doing what he should be doing in the tree then the ground staff should not be getting bogged down with brash , if it happens on my jobs then i wanna know why , if its because the climber is being a fick then he is expected to get down and after a short break then he should much in with the grondies , however if the groundies have not goe their act together and have not got their side of the job sorted and are not working productivley then its tough luck on them . simples !!! this goes for employed climbers or subby climbers, and in my eyes the reason the climber has become a climber is because he/she has mastered doing the ground work and has earnt the right to progress to climbing
  19. we do do quite alot of work for WPD from time to time and to be honest they are not to bad , saying that i did get suspended from cutting because the company i was subbing to had not forwarded this years coppy of my certs - but then again it does show that WPD are on the ball , we also do alot of work for cornwall council which leaves us oppen to an audit from them at any given time without warning which also is a good idea in my eyes , how many of you guys running your own companies has their staff CRB checked ?? just wondering as it is something i have to do this month
  20. not tried the sips yet other than the fredom and fredom 2 , i now use the stretch airs and swear by them , i bought the pair im currently using up at the aa show last year and they are still in great condition cosiddering i have been wearing them 6 days a week every week
  21. i guess you will always have the select few that opperate like that within the industry , in someways i guess it is one way of keeping the decent firms on their toes !!
  22. it is supprising just how many so called tree surgeons work like that ! it sounds prety harsh but im waiting for one of them down this way to have an accident and then watch the sh1t hit the fan lol ,
  23. best you get learning the irish accent then!!!
  24. me thinks the bandit would beat the wheel bearings out on the mog for a passtime lol .
  25. Cheers for the info mate , i have been looking at one on Earborist that is mounted on a silage trailer but can also be used off of a three point linkage
