  1. Now back to planning - has the LA made you aware of and penalties that could be served should you not appy to mark your boundries or to put anythin on your land ?
  2. yeah i did hear that if i cut it up quite small then the local folk would buy it and use it like firewood
  3. hiya Matt , lost looking at you post and can not beleive that i have two springer that are also borthers who are also called Bramble and Bracken - how strange , even more so when they look so similar to your Bramble and Bracken, however I'm pretty sure that neither of yours could possibly be as mad on tennis balls as our Bramble, he was pawing the the mother inlaw's car today as she had a tennis ball in the boot of her car !!!! we should have taught him to sniff for money or drugs ! we would be loaded by now (or arrested) any way just thought I would say how nice your springers look.
  4. and there was me about to offer you the sugoi that we dont use . pfah that the last time a feel sorry for a northaner lol . nice repair tho bob i will remebr that for when i breat mine lol
  5. if i have a green ball in my left hand and a green ball in my right hand what do i have ???............................................................................................ ......................Kermit's undivided attention !!
  6. i know how you feel , i had the planners on my farm last week apparently im running a logging busines from here , when it was explained that we are tree surgeons and that is under the same umberela as agriculture and forrestry they decided that they did not have a problem with what i am doing. But it was made clear that we do have to get rid of the 60 or 70 tons of timber in the yard some how!!!! .
  7. lol you got me on that one
  8. Hang on , i was not aware that a storage container was classed as a structure - it can be moved at any given time , has no foundation and is not lived in , as for the fencing i did not realise that you have to get permision to mark out your boundries .
  9. nope dont get the air gaps out but also do not sell by cubic volume lol . maybe i should count how many logs on each load and sell them that way lmao
  10. Well i would not bother with Stihl water proofs - i bought some and they were a total waist of time i now use a Mardale treetop smock if its not raining to much or my goretex suit courtasy of Western Power Distribution lol
  11. true but surely logs do not fill a builders bac , they leave some pretty big gaps betwene logs so am i filling a cubic meter ? surely i would not be complying with weights and measures ?
  12. taking into account the timber your cutting and what your doing then i would go and get me a saw that can handle the bar and chain - i was taught that its far better to have a smaller bar on a bigger unit , but the other way round and you stree the unit and stress your self when the job takes longer then thought .
  13. i tend to sell by load , if someone wants to know how big the load is then i will give them the dimentions but i certainly will not go into cubic capacity im not selling loads of sand or similar so im not interested in cubic capatity , if they wanna summise that its x cubic meters then thats up to them .
  14. personally i would not considder it , if your felling or using the saw in a tree you want that saw to be able to cut as quickly as possible - you cut to slowly when felling you rask a barber chair and if your cutting in the tree the same can happen , also there is a fatigue element to using an underpowered saw . if you need a 36" bar then you need a saw that will handle the demands - i would considder a 660 or husky 390xp .
  15. how do you feel that an ally body with hickory or cherry inserts would react ? keep us posted on how your getting on . Great stuff buddy
  16. thats part of the reason that you should alway back up and descender that can allow free running if not controled by the person descending even though you are using a second safety line
  17. BUT a portawrap does not have conformity for rope access . Also if you were to use either a porta or tuba you would still have to back it up with a shunt or similar as bot main line and safety lines must be capable of locking of and holding a climber in place . however i would not reccomend using a shunt on a safety line as the can twist to distruction when stress loaded in the event of a fall or mainline failure , personally i would use a Miller Stick-run fall arrester . or a Troll rocker rope lock
  18. basicly a petzle Tuba guys , have a look - actually looks like it would also be great for lightweight lowering maybe
  19. an inovative bit of kit - is this something that someone such as Stein would be interested in developing ?? in metal maybe ? lets be honest ART have managed to combine metal and wood withing climbing gear . great to see and a verly elagent climber verry well done !
  20. have you tried either the petzle Rig or Tuba or id ? i know the tuba will require a shunt or similar but from what i know of it , it gives the greatest area to discipate heat and you can insert a cool bag inside it , not sure how well it would stand up on a 500m descent tho
  21. Do you mean Ugg bootd Dean ? my mum brought me and my brother up pretty much the same way your mum did , sadly it brought my mum to her knees and stopped her working for several years due to her condition , sadly my brother was at uni and i was un able to earn enough as an aprentice tree surgeon to help much , even working nights in a kitchen it was still not enough - Does this mean my mum still did not deserv some help from the state ? several years later my mum was back working as much as she could , had met a great bloke and re-married , sadly it only lasted 5 years and my step dad died suddenly whilst playing football with my step brother - sadly the way that things worked out my mum was once again left with nothing other than trying to work full time in a supermarket on low wages - does this mean she still does not deserv any help or "tax credits" ?? Well guess what ?? she has been left high and dry to sort everything out her self and take on sewing work to try and make ends meat . Personally i think she deservs some help from the "state" . the sooner some people get the idea that rewarding the people working sadly for a low wage and for long hours with tax credits is far better than people not working the better . i dont mind if i have offended any pompas tossers whilst taking the time to wright this.Im sure you have all done a job for someone on tax credits that may have used some of the money to pay you for what you have done , does that mean your a sub sponger in your eyes ? na didnt think so im pretty sure your rose tainted specs will allow you to see strait past that one .
  22. Maybe this is the problem , maybe you have only now worked out how much you have missed out on bitternes is a terrible thing you know. Now i know how you feel maybe we should all maake sure we "Ponce" all that we can to make sure that we all get your share better still could you put in a bit of overtime as i have a liking for a new projector to replace the current plasma screen telly i have got , oh and fancy a couple kids !!! maybe if we all adopt this theory we can make sure you work past 70, well not that it matters as you dont need or want to claim your pension BUT pretty please could i claim the pension that you dont want ???? you know i thought i never had any good luck but you have just proven me wrong ! thanks to you not "Poncing a penny i an actually retire 20 years early , god bless you scrooge
  23. well Mick i am impressed , i have always wondered how an oap would survive without a pension , i guess i will have to wait and ask you!! lmao
  24. Sorry - YOU:001_rolleyes:
  25. i trust you have not and do not claim any benefits and assume that none of your family claim any sort of benefits of any sort ?.
