  1. as already stated Kernow training are as good as it gets - here is the number for them - 07774951739 the lady you will be speaking to is Nicky Carlyon . good luck old chap
  2. i would not pay any more than £50 for them , the gaffs look like they have seen a bit of use , to replace the pads you will be looking to spend at least £60 - so all in all after getting some new pads, sharpening the gaffs and time waisted in doing this then your not far of having waited enough money to but a new set of ally bashlins !! , personally unless you need them for a job on tuesday then i would contact ebay and raise i dispute . Oh and happy new year bud !!!
  3. hmmm looks like a nice saw , i wonder how similar in price this will be to the ms200 !!
  4. haha , i dont blame you .
  5. ha ha , na not planning anything mate but in the middle of reviewing our RA's etc . as for the lorry its no probs . hows tricks with you ?
  6. cool cheers Rupe , that solved that for me
  7. was thinking today whilst climbing using my ART rope guide what the guidelines are for rescuing a casualty from the tree on one system that is funning from a rope guide . does anyone have any info on this regarding the use of ny kind of friction saver or rope guide for rescue . Thanks in advance guys
  8. now you have clarified the position i would be even more keen to buy the chipper my self if i was you , alto your going halves on the chipper its already clear that he will get 70% use of the chipper but only have to pay for half of the machine!!!! why not buy the machine your self and save all the grief , lets be honest you will only get 30% usage of the machine for your self !!
  9. Personally i would not bother - if you need a new trailed chipper then buy one on your own terms , As you have said things are working well at the moment so why complicate the situation by going into a partnership ? im pretty sure that if it was me that was working with you i would be hapy to hire you in with your chipper just the same as you would still hire me in to do the climbing work . i really would not spoil wat is currently a good working relationship
  10. hiya , your pup is a good looking lad . Thought i might share a pic of my two (Bramble and Bracken) out playing in the garden with my other half.
  11. Maybe i should not have spoken quite so quickly , i woke up this morning to SNOW !!! But it never snows in Cornwall !!!!!
  12. yeah i was in taunton at the western power training center yesterday and it was snowing , im sure as you have heard cornwall council is undergoing some massive budget cut's , im pretty sure snow is one of the cut's along with Gales lmao
  13. ha ha ha , no snow down here in cornwall just cold and raining
  14. cheers Steve , im pretty sure i dont want one , just fed up waiting for the new version of the kolibri to be launched, im only waiting because the new version will have quick release leg loops and better saw attachment points . guess i will have to keep waiting
  15. i have been waiting for the new version of the standard Kolibri , i first looked at while at the 2009 AA arb show , then Againg at the 2010 AA arb show and since then i have called fletcher stewarts . Every time i hear the same old thing " yes sir it will be available within the next month" . Will it ever actually happen ????? Yawn !!!!!

  17. Hiya has anyone tried the Komet Morpho Harness ? i have been meaning to get a new harness for a while and been waiting for the new version of the Kolibri to come out but once again its been further delayed YAWN:confused1:
  18. the problem i have with Haix boots is that out of the last 3 pairs i have bought they have all fallen apart , Dangerous bri has got the same problem with his an yet when i speak to Workwear they have the cheek to tell me that this really is un common and they really do not have many pairs returned , and have even been told that the numbers returned are in single figures !!!!! WTF ????
  19. Down here in cornwall i can get a road closed for £435.00 + vat , this is only for highways to notify the Emergency services and to post the requird adverts in the local rag, we plan the diversion route (with the route being approved by highways), we put out the diversion boards and carry out the closure oh and put out the advance warning Boards . I will point out that if the works required is classed as emergency works then you are able to close the road as long as you use correct signage and set up a diversion , BUT you MUST notify highways a.s.a.p. The same goes for traffic lights .
  20. good man
  21. i was just ordering a pair of Airstreams on the tree worker site and for some reason they are charging VAT , i thought that chainsaw boots were VAT exempt ??? im VAT registered so not reall bothered but curious as to why they are charging vat ???? anyone know ???
  22. Had some , they did not last long and forgot where i left them !! on the plus side i did by some Edelrid carabs and still swear by them , i wish you luck speaking to DMM but i think it will be a waste of a phone call !!!
  23. ha ha ha ha nope worse still - just outside fourlanes . bet your not really over it
  24. tried both and still went back to Ali Bashlins with velcro top pads !!!
  25. i have had the chance to use on several times and was not overly keen on the roler speed . im glad i did not spend my money on one !!!
