  1. so how many of you place a date to which the quote is valid untill ?
  2. the biggest problem that i have had are other firms that quote for the same work as me but are not prepared to put out traffic lights where needed or not prepared to consult with highways , or netork rail etc etc . What im getting at is that they wil quote to do the samw job as me but to save money will not bother with what i would term " the professional approach to tree surgery , worse still i have recently been asked by one client to go round and look at some work that was done early last year by another company because they feel some of the work quoted for was not caried out and alot of it was not caried out to a decent standard . i dont mind competition as it is healthy but the competition is not quoting honestly then it beggins to grate !!!
  3. £49 ph is a fair price if the workshop are spot on and can fix the saw quickly but in most cases your not going to get that , i dont tend to use anyone , i would rather fix it myself learning a bit slong the way and having the piece of mind that the work has been done properly . maybe you could use this saw to learn a bit more about fixing them as you go . im sure there are several guys other than me on here that will give you a helping hand along the way .
  4. im pretty sure that some of the older husky's were fitted with venting fuel caps , this was only done for a while as they were not too good . as already stated start the saw leve it run untill it starts to die and then open the fue tank , if it picks up then you have a problem with the breather . hope this is of use to you
  5. i can see that there are plenty of reasons why we must not use a top handle saw with one hand in most situations but there are a fair few situations that require the use of the saw with one hand .
  6. no your not the only one ! that looks awfull but would some paint make it look any better ?
  7. nice job , the more i look at timber trailers the more i want one , maybe not quite that size ! dont think the mog would be too happy towing it lol
  8. hmmm now i want to get a mossberg pump more than ever !!!
  9. If you are profesional, realistic, honest with the customer and willing to price competivly then you are doing then best that you can do . only you know if the price your quoting is the best pice you can offer the client .
  10. the main difference is the BS numbers , commerciall helmets carry different BS numbers , also the harnessing within commercial helmets , also you may need to considder mounting points for eardefenders and visor
  11. no rob you may well not think that you have commited an offence but for the LA to place you under caution would lead me to believe that they are considdering taking legal action against you . But i fail to see how you can personally be prosicuted in any way .
  12. hiya John , are you serious that we can charge more down here ? most firms are charging betwene £250 and £275 a day for a 2 man team .
  13. this is why i make sure all of our tree reports are on headed paper with hand written name and signature of the auther . Anyway this still does not explain why your boss sent you to do the job ? lets be honest he is an employer and at the time you were employed by him and working under his directions and requests .
  14. maybe you need to get a coppy of this tree report the you apparently made and seek legal advice as to what you can do , if he can do this once and get away with it then who says he may not do this again ?.
  15. to be totally honest if you are charging £400 a day then i would guess thats what you are happy to work for , dont settle for a price you aint happy with . i work on the principle of winin 2 jobs for every 10 quoted , i will leave other to be busy fools buying work . so in a nutshell stick to your gunns !!!
  16. this may seem a silly question but have they Formally placed you under caution ? (same speech as the old bill use) the only reason i ask this is that untill they do so you are not at libberty to answer any questions regarding the job in question , they may well ask questions but you do not need to answer then there and then and untill your placed under caution i would not answer a thing , one under caution i would contact your boss and request legal/union representation at the companies expense .
  17. Yeah the after taste is not great and neither is the price but on the pluss side i did manage to get a deal last week in tesco - £28 for a 1.2 kg tub , usual price £39 ! bargain i say .
  18. possibly its because you were on site that day and they need a statment from everyone of site , i would not worry mate , if they start trying to point the finger then ask for a coppy of the works order and job sheet , you did not request the job to be carried out , you did not produce the works order and did not wright the job sheet detiling what was or was not to be done .
  19. ha ha if i could time it i would make sure the farts start just as i get to the inlaws place or they pop round to ours !!!
  20. if you go onto myprotein.com , maybe try using the Creatine Eathyl Ester - yes it tastes like battery acid but there is no loading proces and it is way more effective and there is no need to take silly ammounts of it , personally if im in a bulking phase then i tend to stick to Cyclone and muscle milk , yes it makes your farts stink but it keeps the weight benches either side of you pretty empty so that you can have some space while training . Mark have you tried using progain extreme at all ?? i have never used it but im wondering if its any good
  21. and aint the belts fun to get tensioned correctly whilst still keeping everything square !!!! i do miss my old 190 sometimes !!!!!
  22. i regulary use my ms200t with one hand , yes its not as per AFAG rules but im aware of that and fully take it into considderation when doing so , there are times where it is required to work in this manor but if i dont need to then i wont .
  23. I was of the understanding that Creatine was designed to aid in training allowing you to train harder and minimise the buld up of lactic acid this is partaily done by feeding the muscles with more watter. Cramps and dehydration are usualy caused by a lack of salt, zink and watter etc all of which are pretty simple to resolve in most cases
  24. sorry mate , saw that as soon as i posted !! i have had a look but have not come up with anything sorry
  25. can you give me the engine model no etc , im pretty sure i have access to several workshop parts manual's .
