  15. be interesting to find out how it happened?
  16. Dam all you guys are boring serious old farts.IT was stupid yes but i was rolling on the floor laughing as it was friggen funny.Sounds like they were kiwis aswell the guy that was laughing sounded like a maori.Anyway i was a H and S rep for my company back home and yes it shouldnt happen in the work place, and i don,t think it was in the work place, and i would have been doing that afew years ago aswell.Dont get me wrong im safe as anything up a tree but that was fun, anything thats xtreme is dangerous but people takes risks, thats what the buzz is all about, you get hurt or die and thats the price you pay. And now its time for the backlash !
  17. i wana have a go on that, looks lots of fun
  18. Thats what i was doin at home wasnt far off finishing it,only problem with it was the crap organization and the fact that even if you did it all in a year it would still take 3yrs for all your credits to come through.I also found that it was to easy and in most class tests know one listened and then they would just copy each others work, which sort of defeats the purpose of learning.another thing ,it aint reconized out of nz and aus as i found out when i came to the uk and had to pay to do all the stuff i already had done. Also because NPTC and HITO-NZQA dont really work together,as you can see im im a bit sour about the whole thing. Think if or when i go home i will just go (RPL)record of prior learning and get the final credits i need.
  19. I think as others have said clean your gear really well.chainsaws i think if they are clean and you have cleaned all the fuel and oil out properly they are fine.good luck over there.if you want an instant job when you go to auckland ring treescape or even check there website.they are always keen for more tree surgeons.Icould give you a emaill address of my old manager hes a hardcase scotsman and would sort ya out with work.
  20. sacred maori ground, yeah hugo's from the hamilton yard down the line i was auckland based.don't know him by name but there is a few hundred people in the company i suppose.small world huh.how long you going out for?
  21. In my years of arb at home i never ever saw braces untill a pom came into work with us,he got the **** ripped out of him and left not long after.Seems to be a forestry thing back home i think. Our cutting pants are a lot lighter aswell so i never even wore a belt.Came here and everyones in braces! You will never turn me i tell ya!!!!
