  2. your never to old to do anything... put it this way.. iv had lads working for me that say im past it!!! there both 48yo dont make me laugh lol my fathers 64 had 3 heart attacks 2 hernias slip disks and hes still bombing around on a jcb....... so if you feel fit enough,dont let anything stop you...

  5. watched a program on everest a week or so ago... totally interesting to say the least... i know its differant to climbing and hanging around in trees, just wondered how many of yous would climb everest if you had the chance and the spare £15.000 floating around????

  14. pre work inspection when strimming or using brushcutter???? i usually have a good walk around, having a look where to cut and places to avoid, also picking out the discarded crap thats been left lying around ie pram wheels and parts of exhausts etc etc.. always best to use steel toe caped boots/leg protction/gloves and full face helmet with visor... as you always miss something thats lurking in that long grass... always best to be safe than sorry.. dont think any insurance would pay out if the correct ppe wasnt worn....

  18. would making a feed table out of rsj,s be any good? makes sure there no wider than 3 ft apart, this means you can cut the larger bits up... these are some of the bits that wont go through the palax70 processor cut them into rounds then drop them in the processor. takes alittle time but we always manage

  20. i agree with you there dean.... what i hate most is when people phone up asking (how much do you charge to take down a tree)???????????? then i reply, (it would be best if i can come and have a look) there reply to that is(no i just want a quote over the phone) i then explain (i cant quote over the phone as i would need to see the tree and its surroundings) they then say (ok ill ring someone else) bloody doylems must have nothing better to do
  21. had a few tippers iv rated them diesel drinkers>>>>> 150hp 100hp old 76hp<<< need ear defenders to drive these.or a good cd system pumping out 1000w to drowned out the knocking valve noises......... my fav is the 90hp, excellent on fuel but a bit on the slow side, but its only a work horse...
  22. lads theres another on discovery channel starts thursday 9pm called american loggers..... whys it all in the usa?
  23. heres one of the bags we use.. the others are the jewson builders bags, (which are shorter in height but are a wider bag.)
  24. builders bags hold around 300kg of fresh chip ....230kg when mulched... i carry 6 builders bags on my tipper
