  5. i always thought logs that where bought in then prosessed where classed as a product???? i know its classed as waste if it was from a customers tree... but theres that many rules and regs now,people dont know where they stand....
  6. i was speaking to a mate the other day, and he said you must have a waste carriers licence, to sell on and transport logs.... our logs are bought in and prosessed on the farm.... just wondered if anyone else had heard this rumour????

  11. just reduced a 70ft long black thorn hedge by 5ft... i felt like a bloody pin cushion.... then the customer comes out and says (wow theres so much light in the garden now.. can you take the whole thing out please):scared1: of course love but the price will be double... why the hell couldnt she of asked me in the first place.....

  15. mesterh you got away with a bit of luck there... hope the finger is ok? after a few cuts myself, (whilst tightening the torque bolts up) i always use an extention bar with the ratchet now... dont worry i thought id broke my arm today... whilst climbing over the Aframe on the chipper.... went arse over tit and it bloody hurt
  16. rob mate it extends to a max length of 4 meters... but for people who are just starting out/or on a budget its ideal.... i only hade mine as i was sick of being up a tree with a big silky, some times the silky was too long and clumbsy, so i made my own...its great and does the job also for a total of £18 you you cant go wrong....
  17. i made my own ..telescopic handle from a car washing brush and bolted the the saw bit on the end.... its twice as ridged as the extendable silky i have and half the weight...

  20. was doing a job today just north of seahouses.. some walker had fallen on the rocks... sea king came to winch her to hospital... (what a great view and noise from the chopper) what other things have you seen when out on a job??????
  21. FINISHING A JOB ON TIME... NOTHING WORSE THAN BEING PUT BACK BY THE WEATHER OR OTHER THINGS THEN HAVING TO JUGGLE THE BOOKS ABOUT
