  1. I stripped a larch tree behind my house expecting to be a pole racing ninja!! After a few terrifying gaff outs at about 20' I learnt to just calm it and take it easy, pole climbings for the APF with a Belay! You have to program your brain walk on your ankles, not your feet. Takes time!
  2. It had it, just didn't really need it very much!! I sold it by chipping 1, 15' length of dead sycamore that just fitted in the rollers. The guy just turned round and said ' I'll take it!!'
  3. No mate,I had that chipper about 4 years ago. I just thought it would be a great set up.
  4. I had that plan as well Eddie, I had a bandit 250, it was emmense!!! You could drop a tree on it and it would be ok! This is a 12-14" dead elm with a metre of ivy round it [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGvQSIPDN50&feature=youtube_gdata_player]little gloria - YouTube[/ame]
  5. Gidoooooosh!!!!! I thought you were guiding a lorry back:lol: Cracking fell:thumbup1:
  6. What a stunning building and location? Where exactly is it?
  7. Unlucky darts for getting that job!!
  8. Something like this Eddie Valmet 830.3 Road rail forwarder,Vegetation- QTS Plant
  9. Nice tidy job, an angled roof will give you so much more capacity and less spillage.
  10. Great pics, more of the truck chipper please:001_smile:
  11. This kinks a bit, I've only used it once straight off the reel, so I'd expect it to soften with use.
  12. I used a little Jewson dumper last year and I could see a mini loader hiding in there , and as posted, much cheaper than a loader. Very cool!
  13. When you pick up a small bit you can just chop through it 1 handed and grab another, also for chopping kindlers.
  14. Also I was told there is no power loss from engine to pto, oh and they are really good tractors. Very smooth to drive.
  15. It's not the hour clock, it's what's worn at that stage of their life. Take someone who knows what to look for wear and tear wise. Forget the word ' refurbished ' that can mean spray painted and new mud guards:sneaky2:
  16. They are a Forestery tractor, revolving seat, room for your legs and nothing dangles down to get caught by brash or stumps, I've had 2, brilliant tractors. Both had cranes, that's why I bought them. I have a farmer mate who has plant as well, he loved using my tractor and rated them very highly! Would I want to use them daily on a farm? Only if I didn't have to hitch and un hitch trailers a lot as its hard to see hook due to seat location.
