  1. It varies, in December i spent £300 on the air system, half was for labour . The parts I put on will be good for years. On Thursday I'm getting lights out onto the chipper and the heater fixed as its being temperamental. But once that's done, it's a 1 off. It's either buy a new 1 for £120 k and have no probs which I couldn't afford or buy what I can and just keep adding parts. Mine is a 1987, what parts are still that age I don't know. The engine is a dream, Huck who used to own it put it in when he had it, it's had 2 owners between him and me where it's done very little, it was just used as a Hiab machine, so just sat about lifting stuff.
  2. So guys, being realistic. Do you think it's the new food or the cutting out the rubbish and adding structure that's helping the most.
  3. Best place to have it, makes a huge difference off rd, keeps it well balanced compared to hanging off the linkage on the rear. Imagine driving up to a job and no manoeuvring or reversing, just point and go. If you've never driven anything than a van or car they take a bit of getting used to, I took to them quickly, I think they are easy to drive, you sit really high so visibility is great. Left hand drive has never bothered me, on some junctions you need to nudge out a little but but once to get the hang of it which most folk do, they are easy!
  4. Huck will be along with his Rig soon, don't get too excited because it's the only 1 in the country and the same as with his trailer and you would need £100k for that set up, but too make 1 up similar you would need a lotto win. It is brilliant though!
  5. Yes that a 2150.
  6. That's a lot of truck for the money!
  7. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4aCvCHTOQo&feature=youtube_gdata_player]tp 250 woodchipper and mog - YouTube[/ame]
  8. Don't waste your time with a flatbed, the cheap prices for a low houred young machine makes it seem very tempting, then you start to add up all the bits needed to make it into an Agg machine, oh and every Mog fitter tells you your mad and should but a proper Agg unit.
  9. It was, I feel really full but not stuffed, when I saw it I instantly wanted another fritter and 1 more egg. Just out of sheer greed. Poached eggs are awesome with snything:thumbup:
  10. This 1 is the most versatile due to chipper on the front andhiab on the back. I did have a cracking 2150 that was much newer but It was way to big to access most gateways and too big for the woods.
  11. They take a bit of getting used to, if you have a back ground with tractors it's much easier.
  12. I had olives in my salad today, a very nice touch. Oh and a tangerine and apple around 3 pm. Came home and had 2 pancakes with butter n jam. For dinner I had, butternut squash fritters with spinach , rocket and avocado salad with a poached egg.
  13. First things budget, no point going looking if you dont have enough money. My unit has cost me £30k, this includes the chipper, the chip body, Hiab and a recent big bill where I spent nearly £6k on it. This is my 4th Mog and by far the most versatile. I budget to spend a few hundred £ a month on maintence. On some jobs it's overkill, on others there's nothing that will touch it for size and capabilities all in the 1 unit.
  14. Lwb is ok, it's just longer by 1m. On 1 side you get more stuff in on the other it's not as manoeuvrable ! The u1600 is the most sought after and holds the best money. If the model ends in 50 it's 50cm longer.
  15. Depends on your budget. £30k would get you this.
  16. My mate does an emmense amount of training for an Iron man . 2 mile swim in the morning before work and 60-100 miles a night on his bike trainer a few times a week plus running. He eats an emmense amount of food, mainly chicken, fish and couscous !! He is like an energiser bunny, always hyper, happy and focused and about 10% body fat. He eats piles of calories before his bedtime aswell. Oh and he's 23! I think for all the guys around 40 its hard to get to grips with not having the energy we had when we were 30! If you feel better mentally and physically from this diet, crack on! My lunch today is chicken, lettuce, couscous with avocado and brown bread. And I drink water all day with the odd coffee thrown in. This morning I had porridge, honey and bananas and at 10am I had a scrambled egg roll. I think that's quite healthy. As long as I don't eat too much at 1 sitting I don't crash.
  17. This is my set up It used to be skyhucks many moons ago, diferent chipper though.
  18. First I watched it after seeing this thread, just clips on Utube though. Seems a hard grafting guy with a good squad and amazing kit. That 6 wheel skidded, wowsers!
  19. Gutted!!!!
  20. Wife says ' wow ' ! I still think your all mad.
  21. Come on my wife wants to know as she says there's only 1 definitive way:biggrin:
