  1. I bought it at the APF 3 years ago for £2k plus vat delivered.
  2. The money and paperwork is no problem, it's how you can deal with a person that will make or break it. Get the right person you can work with, both have the same way of thinking andis fantastic. No matter how good a grafter, it you have different morals it will go sour and be stresfull, and it's niethers fault. When you have done things your way for 20 years and you will be working very close to someone you need to get it right. Take a look at the Staff thread and post your opinion on the situation.

  5. Sorry to hear this Rich, stay strong. Drs, surgeons and the hospital staff are amazing! My brother got diagnosed with a brain tumour about 10 weeks ago, it was just ' numbing ' he had the OP, got home, tumour was a dud and he's going for an MRI in a couple of weeks and fingers crossed what they had to leave in isn't doing anything. He started a daily Blog about it, gave him something to focus on and a place for others to wish him well and share stories. Stay strong .

  8. Most of my Mog pics of the other ones were with old fashioned camera:laugh1: It's only the last 4-5 years picture taking at work has been so easy. My other pics are on my old slow lap top, and I'm too comfy to go and get it and get frustrated with its slowness:sneaky2:

  10. I really needed it the other day, I could of sectioned in 3 pines and saved a whole load of hand balling and going back with the van, it was an extra 3 hours and 30 mile round trip in the van to collect.
  11. It's definitely worth the money and built for the job, I just have other things going on.

  13. The Chippers an 8" and I don't have a Mog trailer. If I'm around the farm or estate I work on I can just out on the farmers agricultural tipper but not formed work. Im waiting on a 3.5 ton ifor that I've bought and that can go on the back if needed for timber. There's an amazing Mog trailer on eBay just now, probably the best ive seen for versatility for £12.5k I've been offered a 7.5ton twin axle air braked, 3 way tipping with chip body for under £6k which would go straight on.
  14. The difference is with Mogs, is they don't loose money, when you spend money on them, it adds value. If Huck put his Mog up for sale I bet he wouldn't be much off what he paid for it. I know when I went down the Mog rd 12 years ago, I was loosing £100 a week depreciation on transit tippers plus I was killing them doing tree work due to where I live, everywheres one hill and all my chip and log drop off were on farmers land so I couldn't drop off or if I did I would get stuck. And I was fedupwith small Chippers and couldn't see the value in a 6" tow behind when that was half the price of the Mog itself. On my big Mog I sent about £10k in 6 years on parts and labour and that included a new clutch at £3k.
  15. It varies, in December i spent £300 on the air system, half was for labour . The parts I put on will be good for years. On Thursday I'm getting lights out onto the chipper and the heater fixed as its being temperamental. But once that's done, it's a 1 off. It's either buy a new 1 for £120 k and have no probs which I couldn't afford or buy what I can and just keep adding parts. Mine is a 1987, what parts are still that age I don't know. The engine is a dream, Huck who used to own it put it in when he had it, it's had 2 owners between him and me where it's done very little, it was just used as a Hiab machine, so just sat about lifting stuff.
  16. So guys, being realistic. Do you think it's the new food or the cutting out the rubbish and adding structure that's helping the most.
  17. Best place to have it, makes a huge difference off rd, keeps it well balanced compared to hanging off the linkage on the rear. Imagine driving up to a job and no manoeuvring or reversing, just point and go. If you've never driven anything than a van or car they take a bit of getting used to, I took to them quickly, I think they are easy to drive, you sit really high so visibility is great. Left hand drive has never bothered me, on some junctions you need to nudge out a little but but once to get the hang of it which most folk do, they are easy!
  18. Huck will be along with his Rig soon, don't get too excited because it's the only 1 in the country and the same as with his trailer and you would need £100k for that set up, but too make 1 up similar you would need a lotto win. It is brilliant though!

  22. Don't waste your time with a flatbed, the cheap prices for a low houred young machine makes it seem very tempting, then you start to add up all the bits needed to make it into an Agg machine, oh and every Mog fitter tells you your mad and should but a proper Agg unit.
  23. It was, I feel really full but not stuffed, when I saw it I instantly wanted another fritter and 1 more egg. Just out of sheer greed. Poached eggs are awesome with snything:thumbup:
  24. This 1 is the most versatile due to chipper on the front andhiab on the back. I did have a cracking 2150 that was much newer but It was way to big to access most gateways and too big for the woods.
  25. They take a bit of getting used to, if you have a back ground with tractors it's much easier.
