  1. She was allowed out at the end, she was right into the long grass around the base! It was nice and long dry stuff where the sheep couldn't eat it! I did the international command to a Jack Russell of ' where's the mices, where's the mices, go on go on go on, ska ska ska!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her head disappeared and her we bum was in the air and her tail was going mad:thumbup: She also had a lovely new pink collar that I didn't let the big tough farmer away with:laugh1:
  2. Ladders or throw line spring to mind:001_smile:
  3. Why's that ?
  4. I went in the huff for about 2 days!!
  5. A Stevie powered 5 ton tirfor John:)
  6. I dug that out, it's sitting on rock so what came out was what had fallen off. Beech usually throws out quite a lot of growth but the thuge wounds attract to much nasty air born stuff and then the bark dies and it's firewood time. If yours takes then its a good result for sure .
  7. I doubt it will be a gear. If something doesn't turn it's usually something the wrong way round. It will have a round end and a cross end, if it's around the wrong way, the steering shaft will be in the cross and be stuck. Look for a triangular bracer, that's what usually gets me:biggrin:
  8. I was so disappointed when it wouldn't go back and forward:sneaky2: Your boys done good:thumbup1: You can get a retrofit remote control for it to drive it about:001_smile:
  9. I was an hour on the Tirfor! :sneaky2:The tractor was way over its limit and I was expecting my strops to give out around the tree, she put up a good fight, but I won It's for her own good. If she pegs it, she's better drying upright than lying in the mud getting damp:001_smile:
  10. What amazing trees High Scale, what a shame! It's not any different from removing a 30ft conifer from the front of a bungalow I suppose. The guys new there stuff and did them justice!
  11. I've not done an oak before and this is certainly the biggest tree, it all depends on location and customer and what kit I can get to it. If it does grow well we may need to brace it, I'm hoping the roots that were within the soil will jump into life once I soil around it and help it and maybe some anchor roots will happen if it does get bushy! but I don't know how that works, maybe some could tell me. I was thinking on doing some coronet cuts, it would of been easier on the ground but I didn't want to jinks the lift:001_rolleyes:
  12. Fingers crossed she comes away!
  13. I have an internal and external flood light on the Luton. There was a small light on a switch so they were wired into that. You just need to run a live to it with a switch I think.
  14. Welcome, I'm thinking on getting a Mill so would be interested in the replies!
  15. Brilliant! The lady with the camera sticking her hand round by the belt was making me twitchy though:001_huh:
  16. My T 5 lwb was longer.
  17. Just for you Pete
  18. Fantastic! Do they float?
  19. I see a branch on the asbestos roof of that shed! -1 point:biggrin: Sam, +2 points for correct answer:thumbup:
  20. Eliminate the problem before it gets to face to face dealings. A big sign on the front door, saying all saws serial numbers will be ran through the police stolen system, any saws that are stolen will be handed into the police. That will re assure good folk that you are sound and it will tell the baddies to go elsewhere.
  21. Wise move Mr D!
  22. Now you have supplied logs in an expensive way for no reason . I blame the coal merchant:sneaky2:
  23. And your trousers are down why:confused1: Good effort:thumbup1:
  24. Is that a wing suit? I take it you are not doing a tandem charity jump? Tell us more:thumbup1:
  25. I use a Luton van with a tail lift and wheely bins for chip, logs and sawdust. I can fit all my kit up top above the cab, pole saw and ladders on the sides, chipper and 8 wheely bins in the back if need be. 12 if the chipper isn't in. Or I blast into dumpy bags, I can get 3 full ones in, chipper and logs on top aswell. Also I have a tracked wheel barrow for heavy logs and I can drive it on, lift it up, drive it in and unload. I also can put the chipper in the barrow with the wheels off and this gives me a tracked chipper. And it involves lifting nothing heavy:thumbup:
