  1. If say Alder, white beam and not 100% sure on first stuff, I want to say Ash, it would tie in with the easy splitting. If it's free it's 90% good already. If it's dry, it will burn . Welcome to the forum:)
  2. Wood works, put the 2 stroke straight into jerry can, exactly put 20l into jerry can with petrol, you will need to tip can back to get that in. When you pour into your small can, get the can on its side, and take it easy.
  3. Get what you can afford as long as it gets you a start.
  4. I mix a jerry can, I worked out how many ml I needed, went to a shop and bought the bottle of juice that held that amount. Drank the juice and use that . I always carry 1 full little bottle of 2 stroke, a jerry mix, combi can and a funnel. No mess, no spills, easy peasy!
  5. Proper job there Allan!
  6. Very nice, a wee video would be good
  7. I've seen this 1 in the flesh, pictures don't do these trucks justice. If you are doing motorway driving and just want the bigger payload, buy a cargo. If you are on country roads and getting your wheels dirty then they are superb! I used to tow my 3 ton Cat and you didn't know it was there:thumbup1: As far as cost, make them an offer. It's been sitting there for a year and I know what I sold mine for:blushing:
  8. Cheers guys:biggrin:
  9. I'm a bit late as it's done! Tbh I wouldn't of climbed it, if it blew down overnight and damaged the other tree, then it wouldn't be a problem. To me a job like that is damage limitation, human beings are more important than trees, so fell it and it the other tree took a hit, we'll hey ho! As for the climbers weight not affecting the tree, that's correct, but the tree isn't still standing because the 13 stone guy hasn't climbed it, it's because it hasn't finished what it's started doing:001_rolleyes: Now if i was getting £3k for climbing it, then it's turn off the brain and monkey monkey speedy Gonzalo's time:thumbup: Good job by the way:thumbup1:
  10. As it says, I always bin the spec book and the scales don't work and I've to post 2 saws to Spud. Help please! With out bars:biggrin:
  11. Press quote below the post.
  12. The secret to a good looking reduction is to take about 20 pictures from a distance and choose the best 1 to post:biggrin:
  13. Oh now that's nice!!
  14. Shame this is a motorbike thread then:001_rolleyes: Best go start a wee coo car thread:biggrin: Geoff bikes looking great mate:thumbup1:
  15. Al I'm going to try and find that sticker, priceless!!
  16. Nearly choked on my burger there
  17. Welcome. Did you winterise it? Empty all fuels inc carb, clean it all underneath and grease all moving parts? At college we were shown to remove the plug and pull the chord until the piston was in a certain position. I've never done it since though:( Sounds like you have just woken her up after a long sleep in a cold shed, give the plug a clean, stick some fresh fuel in and give her a grease if need be.
  18. That's a tall 1!! Was the wall ok?
  19. Welcome aboard:001_smile:
  20. Looking good, summer must be coming:laugh1:
  21. It took me a few moments to work out why there was no flash !! And 4 attempts to take the pic the other way around
  22. Bob that's a brilliant Q and A, would I be right in thinking if the word Agriculture was replaced by the word Forestery! it would still be the same?
  23. I would think the answer is you can't touch it because it's not your contract, probably you won't have the correct signs and traffic management etc. I have cut up loads of trees on back roads with the police there just to get home and they were glad I was doing it, 99% of human beings would raise a glass to your hard work but unfortunately the other 1% make all the noise and ruin I mean run the country:sneaky2:
  24. My Mog uses way less running a chipper on 1000 speed than doing road miles without a trailer.
