  2. What's under the bonnet? Some stressed out tri-turbo'd 1.4 short stroke diesel meeting euro 729 or a proper lump with cubic inches and cast iron somewhere in there?
  3. Yep, that's them. Absolute shower, went to court in the end. Still owe me money from last October.

  10. Sorry can't find correct thread; a/t running v slow / stalling etc here; only arbtalk doing it; all other sites normal thru Mozilla...
  11. A diesel engine doing what? I'm a long term member of the IDGTE so reasonably qualified to answer... Former baseload generator commissioning engineer and my PhD was in diesel exhaust emissions.
  12. Would buy a wagon and drag in a heartbeat mate; Kleen Kutt got the right idea with theirs... Oh and gregory distribution have just entered the roundwood haulage game too. Marley Head were looking at the 20's we're cutting for them; they are forwarding the timber with an agri setup from our stacking area as a lorry can't get in there but are so desperate for the timber. Been buying in 24's and cutting 4' off. It's nuts mate.

  14. No wonder Scania have this glossy video: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAtVDmK55S4]Expect more with the new Scania V8 730 Euro 6 - YouTube[/ame]
  15. This is the problem mate. I was talking to Trevor in person yesterday about the situation; I've over 1500 tonne now stacked up and every lorry driver as follows just glazes over when I harrass them: 1) Johnny W 2) Jon L 3) MD x 3 lorries 4) Mike W 5) Chris R 6) Evans - Mo What the heck can I do?! JR down pensilva is pulling his hair out too; he's been waiting months and months - your chestnut is there... They went right past my yard empty yesterday, still didn't pick up the hardwood there for you. Euroforest politics is one comment I've heard on the FRS (Forestry Rumour Service); trying to delete other players??? NOT MY FAULT
  16. Enough is enough! 20 litres a week of Hy-tran dribbling down the windows and getting worse, not to mention the environmental impact. Long overdue job a lot easier than anticipated. Inherantly poor sealing hose swivel plate is getting modified with welded in male-male threaded inserts, hydraulic swivel couplings and then standard bsp's on all the hoses. Can't wait.
  17. Got a lotta time for KD but too far; always is too far
  18. Never worth the risk of not having a winch tractor imo. Tirfors simply not fast enough altho I have done big rotten oaks with a jack seat aswell as a tirfor - and very glad I had both on the job. But FORGET pickups as anchors!
  19. Definately; transaw is awesome Wilsons aren't the be all and end all Jon...
  20. Can supply; 90% softwood; 2.2 / 3.1 / 3.7. Clean JL/EL, DF, SS, WH, WRC, GF, CP etc. Log, Bar, Chip, Fencing to order. PM for more info.
