    Funny how these saws are only expected to last 2 years. Looked after, old school saws did much longer.

    That's a 4-stroke so I didn't mention it. I had the Suzuki which sure had some power. Kawasaki was supposed to be the best; thing it was superceeded by the Suzi.

    Which engine? IIRC, various Tecumseh (😕), Suzuki (👍), Kawasaki (👌) etc

    We checked and checked and checked. Looked at casings, mouldings, cylinder, just didn't open it up beyond the engine. Puzzled us to this day. You could feel the difference, let alone see it on the scales. Mine came from FRJ and his from MST.

    Just for info, I had an MS460 on an 18 and a mate had the exact same saw, a couple hundred between the serial numbers. His weighed 584 grams more than mine. Work that out.

    Avoid the double cab at all costs. You can get just as much in the back of a club cab given the lower floor and folding cushions. The only conceivable reason to have double is if seating two small adults on a full time basis is a higher priority than butt capacity.
