  1. Pretty much all gone, just kept abit back to keep my regulars happy. Thinking of investing abit more into firewood next year, it's something I could get dad doing whilst I'm out climbing. Gonna give it a good think over the Xmas break. Merry Xmas to you and family, catch up soon.
  2. Bit of a daft time to ask this close to Christmas I know but will be after a couple loads of timber in the new year. Just putting the feelers out to see if anybody on here knows of any before I make phone calls in the new year. Cheers and bah humbug.
  3. Mega quick? Two bits of ply either side to act as high sides. Lie them down when empty as they'll flap. Tie them to the tipper frame so they don't fall out when you tip.
  4. Who's your friends? I know everyone in the village lol
  5. If your in Langford budville at lunchtime pop in the pub, the martlet. My local, usually I'd be in there but got family duties today!
  6. Should kept closer eye on this, you'll be going past my door on route to Devon.
  7. Local Xmas tree farm sells 11000 trees locally in 4 weeks at average £30. Sure they obviously need management etc throughout the year but not a bad bit of cash!
  8. A mate had the same experience! Except the loose brick was in the chimney. Brick came out and chimney fell through the house. I think the phrase 'oh bugger' was muttered!
  9. I got an old pair I bought 2nd hand for good price. Not used them around lines, tbh just use them as poles for pruning and pulling out hangers etc. They flex abit, but once you get the nack it's all good.
  10. Agreed, I climb on 2m side strop to. Although it dosnt get used that often
  11. Got a gunsmith who will pay me upwards of 2k for the "right" piece of walnut. Yet to stumble across said piece though lol
  12. You obviously have alot more patience than me
  13. Actually that's based on chip and logs (ringed up) staying. Basing pricing on a similar job I just did. All stayed on site, made a huge difference on time scale.
  14. Was gonna say around about 1k based on pictures and description. Steady couple days for 3 blokes first day, 2 blokes second day. Have it on the ground in a day and then ring up and rake up next day. Nice bit of firewood as a bonus to!
  15. Contract climber, looks a very simple job for a competent climber. Where you based?
  16. Had that happen to me a few times! Also done it to my mates aswell
  17. Pubs, holidays, recommendations, you often meet people in strange ways, get talking about what you do etc... My mate just got back from Egypt, his 9 year old daughter made a friend, the parents got talking about whatever, next thing you know they've exchanged details and he's on the verge of sealing a 3 year contract for a civil engineering company.
  18. Like the look of this, looks size of 7.5 tonner but rated to 13. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=121456657514&globalID=EBAY-GB&alt=web
