  1. It's actually quite easy, but don't tell everyone.
  2. The MK3 wasn't out when the others cracked. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  3. Been climbing on it for months. It's a pain waiting around for a courier and all that nonsense it'll be nice just to do a swap as I'm there. This will be the 3rd one I've cracked! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  4. I'm going to the apf tomorrow and want to know if I bring my cracked Zig zag up can I just do a straight swap with any of the traders for a new mk3 one? Thanks Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  5. Tip site wanted, as close to tiverton town centre as possible. Site clearance, several loads. Thanks in advance
  6. It goes on... I've been sub contracted to two different companies to climb whilst they were having assessments carried out
  7. Noticed my zigzag had cracked today, this will be the 3rd one and I'm sure my last replacement was meant to be the mk3, is there an easy way to tell? Cheers Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  8. Bought a new ms362 on Saturday to replace my much loved ms361 I've had for years. Very impressed so far

    Fisa

Spent today doing Fisa felling refresher. Quite enjoyable actually, was picked up on a few habits and got to chat to others about the forestry industry. Something I find interesting as 90% of my work is tree surgery work.
  10. Fence and shed will be removed out the way, all crap to stay.
  11. The job is in Exmouth, and access is tight, a 90cm gateway, which could be made wider to 110cm if need be.* The stump at its widest point is approx 1m 40cm with obvious root plate that goes with it. If someone would like to give me a quote or arrange a site visit it'll be much appreciated. Many thank. Tom
  12. Why does everyone get so wound up about this. Look on the other hand, it's broken in 5 places but has still been life supporting. I had 2 zig zags crack, I continued climbing on them for ages until I got around to replacing them.
  13. Need a tip site in Exmouth today. Been let down at last minute. Any help appreciated!
  14. I have a job to do in Burlescombe which I think comes under Mid Devon. Does anyone have an email address for the tree officer? Cheers
  15. I have always used oregon but was caught short recently and had to buy a couple stihl chains from my local dealer. I must admit I have found the stihl chains better.
  16. As above, for woodchip. Thanks
  17. You were obviously doing something wrong. I earn a good living from tree work.
  18. As said, eBay. Look for 'Show plates' saves having to go through paperwork. That said my mate makes his own so he does mine for a beer.

    Fisa

I'm booked onto a fisa felling refresher course next month to allow me to work with some of the big national forestry companies. Makes me laugh though as all we do is the tree surgery side of things yet we have to do a felling refresher not a climbing based one which I thought would have made more sense!
  20. I once paid for an old ladies shopping in the supermarket. She has forgot her purse was getting in a right old fluster. It was only £25 or something. She insisted on taking my address to send me the money but I said it was fine and told her to put the money in a charity box one day if she really wanted.
  21. Same as most people have said. Spike marks, saw nicks, pull ropes, lowering, towing etc. I often chog down a pole to a felling height, choker off my main line, come down on the zig zag and use it as a pull line.
  22. Sorry to hear that mate. I'm in Wellington will keep my eyes open.
  23. Where abouts in Somerset?
