  1. Hi Kerrie, Not seen you one here b4!! Paul from LJN!
  2. I rate Bahco loppers. The P1980 are fantastic. The cheaper smaller capacity ones arent worth it as it possible to cut what they will do with felco 7s or easier to use the silky but the 2" capacity of the bacho p1980s makes them perfect. I have both a 300mm gomatro and a Sugoi, the gomatro I use more.
  3. Reported. Seen one of thes go at a farm sale for £150 on sat..... madness!!
  4. Ive towed Bateson and Indespension aswell as Ifor. Personally i prefer the Ifor, My own trailer is an Ifor.
  5. £100 plus the postadge for the full works. Worth every penny.
  6. Ive received my 575 back From Pete, woods port, carb tweak and flow to the head. The saw is running amazingly now, pulls the 28" in the beech I was felling today as well and as quick as it did the 20" before. The tourq and speed are superb and sounds sweet. I'm delighted with it and will be getting Pete to do a woods on my 441 now. Top bloke Pete, Cheers.
  7. You want a ripperblade in a 14" cut off saw and some steel wedges. split it and disc it a compartivly easy job. RIP-300 300mm Ripper Blade [RIP-300] - £126.65 : DiamondBlades.co.uk, Diamond blades, cutting blades, core drills and accessories
  8. It works a treat, I too use it. I have bad circulation and get really cold feet in the winter in my haix even with double insoles and sea boot socks on. Uddermint rubbed into my feet keeps the circulation up all day.
  9. Strip down then diamond file on fein multimaster. Back off blade backs with a oil stone and ree assemble.
  10. Fantastic Job. Re the Red on the handlebars, its paint to try and make it less nickable and easier to identify...... as has been guesssed have had fingers burnt.
  11. Yes, my 325HE4 spent more time in the 12 months I had it being fixed than working, constant carb problems and the shaft breaking. I replaced it with a stihl HL75 and 4 years on it going perfecly. Husqy make very good chainsaws but not good hedgetrimmers IMO.
  12. The cheap type will be too slow to cycle and slower than using a maul.
  13. "so how much fuel do you put in how much do you charge how much would it cost for new cutters surely if your using them more than twice a week they are earning you a lot more money look after your tackle and it will look after you " Whatever lubricant you use it needs doing regularly, particularly if cutting leylandi. IMO WD40 is equally effective as the stihl solvent, 5 litres WD40 for £20 or 500ml stihl resin solvent at £10. Its a no brainer. The blades last and cut equally well sprayed with WD40 as with resin solvent.
  14. WD40 sprayed on every fill and at the end of the day plus brush the muck off the air filter. The stihl resin solvent is too expensive if your using them more than twice a week.
  15. I have a 575. The fuel economy is great but the sawis IMO unn balanced compared to a 372 or 441. In adition to the 575 I run a 441 and it is this that I use out of preferance.
  16. I have a FS400 for sale if your intrested, PM me.
  17. The Echo HC 341 is a 40" and has a nice big cut (around 1") and gives a good finish on topiary aswell. Ive been very happy with mine and would certainly buy another.
  18. Husquvarna 345RX, farr better than the stihls both in terms of fuel use and vibration levels. Mine is in daily use and copes perfectly.
  19. As a small saw i would sudgest a 357. Powerfull enough to tackle most small to medium felling and nice and light. I run mine on a 15" bar and it cuts nice and quick. My own 357 is kept as back up but it is a great saw. Personally I do like larger saws and normally use my 441 for everything no matter how small but a 357 or even a 026 will serve you well enough.
  20. Dean, get some cetirezine dizentrate tablets from the pharmacy, these are just about the strongest antihystimine tabs you can buy non prescription. They work a treat for wasp stings.
  21. Nope, Personally Id go for an etesia Hydro
  22. I have owned and used both the double sided and single sided stihls and Husqys, new and old all had issues with either the gearbox, quality of cut or build. I now use an Echo HC341ES, This is the best hedge trimmer I have owned in terms of build, vibrations and quality of cut when it breaks I will happily buy another. BTW agree with the comments ie double siders.... awkward and heavy. For the tops of wide hedges I also use a stihl HL75, a good bombproof machine if heavy.
