  2. Here's an Ash we did last week, was a fun climb apart from havin to start late and finish early because of stupid traffic control:angry:
  3. Looks nice mate
  4. Surprisingly good mate! I was a bit weary myself at first but they work really well. Just make sure you've put them in right though. It feels great to have the wind blowin round your ears why your usin a saw up the tree:thumbup1: Probably not to great if chipping for a long period of time though?
  5. The new Petzl Altios helmet which i kindly had sent to me last week by Yvonne at clark engineering. The first thing you notice is just how nice looking the Altios is!!! The Altios is also incredibly light weighing in at only 335g!...I had to keep checking to see if id actually got it on!! The next thing is how comfortable the Altios is,the mesh netting that your head sits in makes it a very comfortale helmet and also creates a good space above your head for air to circulate keeping you nice and cool. Its very easy to adjust just like previous Petzl helmets. Ive been wearing the Altios all last week in very hot conditions and it kept my head lovely and cool. Its also very nice not to have to wear ear defenders. All in all a very comfy and light weight helmet that id highly recommend to any climber:thumbup: Hers's a few pics of it in action
  6. I think its probably fake? but still looked awesome!!!
  7. That looked bleedin leathal!
  8. I use mine on the left mate and it works a treat! I also run some 10mm dynamic rope that Nod sorted me out with. Its really smooth with this rope. I think it was mammut supersafe.
  9. Cut and drop jobs are the best! They dont come along very often.
  10. Hey Steve i was tryin to attatct some pictures and it keeps sayin that a security token is missing and to inform an administrator?
  11. Was speaking to nod today and he says he's hopefully running one in september. Ive booked 2 places but im not sure where in the country it is yet
  12. No mate there the meindl airstreams and there absolutley mint! Very nice to climb in and quite easy to footlock in! The one thing is though they seem slightly narrower than normal chainsaw boots which suits me alot better. Haven't tried the klima airs but they do look nice:001_smile:
  13. Feel for you mate but it did make me laugh reading that! haha
  14. Very nice finish on those Rupe but that just looks like my version of hell! haha
  15. We inspect our gear before every climb and do a recorded inspection once a fortnight. As far as im concerned thats more than enough! We also inpect each others gear too incase anyone is becomin a bit complacent....i sometimes take the odd krab or summat out of some of our climbers bags so i know if there just ticking boxes or are actually checking it! haha
  16. I think one of the best things about a landscaping job such as this,is you can look back at it and see what an amazing job you've done! The problem with trees sometimes is that all there is to look back at is just a big space in the sky where there used to be a tree!
  17. Who pulled you?
  18. I hate cutting hedges too!! looks like a really nice place to work though....nicely done to mate
  19. Some pretty cool trees on there!....bit hard to read though haha

  22. Unlucky mate! Everytime ive cut my self with the silky ive always thought o crap a split second before it happens! haha. It always seems to be in a place that when you try and put your hand in your pocket it knocks the scab off!....does to me anyway haha
  23. :laugh1:been there!
  24. Thats a cracking beech tree and a fair old size limb thats fell off too!! Nice work mate
  25. That looked like a really cool job to be involved with! How long did it take to get all the lines in place?....really good pics too!!
