  2. Had the same problem when i used op. No matter how i tied or what combination i used it used to coil up!!! Went back to beeline and bailout and everything is now fine. I hate OP will never use again!!
  3. Was gonna do a thread monday but been really busy what with the weather and modern warfare 2!! haha. I actually do the bury in 2:blushing: forgot about the 2nd one....its only been 4 days:001_tongue:. He did show us the double braid,looks a bit more complex! Gonna try and perfect 16strand before moving on. How do you find doing the double braid?

  5. You'll love it mate,nod is a very clued up bloke. Only thing is he makes it all look soooo easy:sneaky2:....haha. I'll give your method a go high scale. Im hoping to attend the 24strand workshop when nod gets round to it,so may see you there mate.
  6. At the min i do it in one but not really played around with other methods yet. What advantage is there your way? Less friction? Ive only done yale xtc and the one marlow splice up to yet. The cross over on the marlow was a knightmare!! Shame you dint make it mate was a very good workshop.

  9. Hi all,i attended a 16 strand rope splicing course earlier this week with nod from tree worker. It was a very educational and enjoyable day taught by someone who really knows what there talking about:thumbup1:. Id say that anyone whos interested in the make up and construction of there ropes would really learn and get alot from attending such a course. Cant wait for the 24 strand one now:biggrin: Here's some of my attempts ive done this week.
  10. We run a ms 260 and a 346xp. There's not alot to choose from between the two,but personally i always choose the 260! The 260 feels a bit better built than the 346.

  15. I love using silky's. You just have to calm yourself down a bit when using them which can take some doin!! haha
  16. Mine was done with the 200t. It was clipped on to my harness and i slipped of a branch andit swung up into my hand!! Not a very cool story that is it! I should of made something better up? haha
  17. Hi mate like taffupatree says its a silver bull hip bag with 10m of rock climbing rope in it(mammut supersafe). Its a really handy thing to have because i used to hate havin ropes danglin everywhere! I use a cinch on my lanyard which is a lovely piece kit:thumbup1:. The bags from treeworker and its the smaller of the two.....its very handy to put your sarnies in too!!! haha

  22. Was doin a job the other week and while we were there we found this in there garden! Asked them if they wanted they said "no have it":001_smile:. Has anyone used these before? It needs a new hopper and was wonderin if anyone new where we might be able to get one? Or is it time to get fabricating! haha. Drained the old petrol out and it started straight away!!
