    Weather

The weather here today is unbelievable!! Its black ice everywhere. We couldn't even get the van up the drive today and its only the smallest hill ever!! They've cancled all buses, taxi's ans even the gritters cant travel on the roads!! Ive never seen anything like this!! Our yard is quite near the local hospital and all we've heard all morning is the sirens going. The thing is they cant travel on the roads either, especially at any kind of speed. At one of the local schools the pupils turned up but the teachers dint:biggrin:
  6. I bet that rope was a nightmare!!! haha. Get your purse out and buy him some new rope to play with:001_tongue:. Nice work though, looking very tidy:thumbup1: Ive just ordered a load of tenex from nod,im gonna make some whoopie and loopies up soon:biggrin:
  7. Thats my story and im sticking to it!! haha At least it gets plenty of use.............the rope bag that is:biggrin:

  9. Petzl vertex in the winter with some decent glasses(i use some bloc ones at the mo) and petzl altios in the summer with ear plugs! Both very good helmets IMO!!
  10. Nod at treeworker sells a silver bull hip bag. I use one and its really nice. I store 10m of rope in it quite easy
  11. [quote name='Monkeyd']Hi OS, Casper has a question.... what splice did you use on the Beeline, and are you protecting the eyes? I used a locking brummel splice on it. You have to pull the inner core out to do it and then slide th outer sheath back over. Apperently you just dip the eyes in some liquid whipping type stuff. If you check the house of splice out on the tree house forum there's some really good stuff in there. How's casper getting on with the splices? Any pictures?
  12. Congratulations!!! No stopping you now. Shame you dont live a bit closer we're thinking of taking a trainee on sometime soon.
  13. plant pots
  14. Arbtalks great isn't it:thumbup:. Looks nice little harness mate:thumbup1:
  15. We've not done any proper tree work for about a month now!! On the plus side though we've got 2 JCB's and they've been really busy!! We've been pimpin them out to clear all the supermarket car parks, gym,b+q and anyone else that asks. I think we're making more shoveling snow than we did at trees!! haha
  16. Very nice drew:thumbup1: Whats the armor prus like to splice?
  17. Its amazing how a fit girl can attract blokes from all over to a bakery int it:biggrin:. Its devastaing when there not there though:sneaky2: Feel for ya bud:lol: Better luck tomorrow!!
  18. Haha awesome!! They'll be sending your heater up to you next:001_tongue:
  19. Ive got a komet flipline with a snap hook on it. To be honest i never use it anymore i prefer a soft lanyard for most stuff. The snap hooks though are quite good and very easy to use. Its 3 meters by the way and thats big enough for 90% of stuff. I wondered where all our 300" redwoods had gone!!! haha
  20. When that happens then its new cob shop time:001_tongue:....
  21. Nice work mate!! Your lot sound as bad as us for bakeries and cob shops!! haha......the ones with the fit staff get visited the most!
  22. Those prices seem really cheap!! We keep thinking of getting a 395 and at that price its even more tempting!!!
  23. We only stihl's apart from the 372 which is an awesome saw!! We run a 24" bar on ours and it pulls it really well. Its also light enough to have up the tree for long periods of time.
  24. Some i saw up in scotland last year
