  1. There's nothing worse than trying to get the natural looking shape back to a topped tree but that looks bang on mate:thumbup1:. Like Rich says i tend to try and thin the crap out and then remove some of the larger ones. When there really bad though you can bearly get your pruining saw in to finish the cut!!! haha
  2. The altios helmet is an awesome lid!! You cant even tell your wearing it. In the winter though i use my vertex just so i can keep my ears warm!!! haha.
  3. Id say you could easily put two krabs through the large swivel. I personally think the large swivel would be a bit to big for a bridge. Ive never tried this though so could be worth a go?

  6. They do two sizes mate. The one ive got is the small one and works really well on the bridge of your harness.......most times!! haha. The larger one would be better for rigging scenarios.

  8. Unfortunately its not my idea but thanks:biggrin: Hey Hama yeah its a petzl swivel. The jury's still out on it at the moment. Some days i love it and then others it just gets you in a muckin fuddle. Worth a try though:001_cool:

  10. Its so you can put your lanyard round a branch and attatch it to the small prussik so as not to side load the krab.

  15. Horrible grey poplar reduction this morning. Not overly impressed with the end result but thats what they wanted it leaving like.

  19. Huge fan of both these mighty species but after visiting burnham beeches the other week i have a whole new respect for beech!!
  20. Could be a bit bulky for retrievel from the ground or are you thinkin of retreving it whilst up the tree? A splice would be alot more streamlined.

  22. I think given the options mate you've done a cracking job! Your climber got to play in a nice big oak tree,you got some stunning pics and the residents have still got a lovely old oak to look at:thumbup1:
  23. Im not a huge fan of stitched eyes either. Although some manufactuer's splices are a bit suspect IMO. Hand spliced all the way:biggrin:

  25. haha many times which is why i now have a little bag. I also used to love it when i was tryin to move to somewhere in the tree only to find out that my bloody stopper knot is jammed in a stupid little v!!
