  1. Shame you are so far from me, as the mighty Nuffield Zetor combo would be ideal for extracting your wood.
  2. That looks like a Vapourer moth catapilla
  3. I use the Colorado around the coast here in Pembrokeshire with the kids. Not as fast as a sit on, but very stable on the water, and very portable. Just be careful with fishing hooks. All in all brilliant.
  4. They don't like it up um
  5. Laylandii and most conifers goes through ok, it the bushy nature of cryptomeria that causes the problems.
  6. I have had this for the the last 18 months, i can not fault it for the price. Provided the blades are sharp it wizzes through most things. It does not like cyptomeria though. http://www.drproducts.co.uk/product/dr-rapid-feed-chipper-pro.aspx
  7. Here in lies the problem with 5837 reports; it is subjective, and based on the persons view who is writing the report. You are the one writing the report Ben so it is your opinion, others will disagree. Provided you can back up your reasons, then the tree officer should not be able to change the categories. Remember you are the professional consulting Arb, he or she (tree officer) is not. Happy arguing.
  8. You will need to go down about 6m, and that a lot of digging. the only way to stop it spreading is to treat it with chemicals.
  9. Like that, good to see something different
  10. Provided the patio does not exceed 20% of the rpa, and it is non ground invasive, then you will be fine. You have to insure that nothing can leach into the ground that can damage the roots, and it is gas and water permable.
  11. You live in a beautiful part of the world.
  12. Nope he wanted it for firewood.
  13. Not as exciting as one of Metsaman's videos , but a warm sunny days, and no falling over or rotten trees to climb. Even better no heavy lifting as the stems were dragged into the field for the farmer to deal with.
  14. Good combination
  15. Hi Clinton, I am going to be felling 180m3 of larch in the next couple of weeks. Most is 25" dbh and over
  16. Send me a PM if you want some free advice. Also are you still after larch, I should be starting to fell 180 m3 in the next couple of weeks ?
  17. Winter flowering Heliotrope. Highly invasive, but easy to treat.
  18. Wot no controversal tree felling techniques........
  19. If you are that close you can bring and show off your landy with all its extras. Or has Sonia band you from doing anything else to it ?
  20. Are you camping Jon ? Will Eggs be sober enough to talk this year ?
  21. Brilliant video Mr Metsaman, keep up the good work. I think that you will fit into the good ship Arb talk very nicely. Do you have cider in Finland ?
