  1. Cheers Chris, i listed them as a B category, as they had no obvious signs of ill health, good form, and they will probably last another 20 years. I think it depends on wether you categorise a horrible palm as a tree or not
  2. What size binders are you after, and round or split ? Sent from my GT-S5830 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. I recon that you have the wind blow cuts about right. The finished cut on oversized trees should have a stepped quarter standing proud on the butt if the root plate falls away from you, and on the trunk if the root plate falls towards you (tied off to stop you going splat).
  4. They look good in forgien parts, but not in wet windy west Wales. And i still think they look naff.
  5. Ere you go: Tree-Jack Felling Tool - OrionHeating.co.uk
  6. Palm trees have the same RPA as proper trees. The garden is full of them, and i have to produce a BS5837 report. Unhelpful answers always apreciated.
  7. You can borrow my insulated rods if you want.

  9. It was left over from my new back door on the landy Sent from my Arbtalk mobile app
  10. It certainly will, i could only just lift it up, and had to use the hi lift jack so i had one hand free to stuff a bolt through quick.
  11. Cheers me old mucker, looking good. Sent using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. Like the contrast between big and little tractors. Just goes to show size is not everything. Good work.
  13. When you recieve confirmation of your felling licence application it clearly states 'Whilst we deal with your application, you must ensure that felling does not start until a licence has been issued'. ( taken from a current licence application) I meant less than 5m3 for 'non licence applications'
  14. Same as west Wales, you have to have many fingers in the pie to make ends meet. Beside i get bored doing the same thing over. Check ALL the simple things
  15. Nope you can not start felling until the licence is issued. The five cube is for non licence applications. Check ALL the simple things
  16. You earnt your pennies dismantling that. The house must never see the sun. Check ALL the simple things
  17. The joy of larch hairs. Never found anything to stop the the itchy little bleeders. Check ALL the simple things
  18. He is my hero, no idea what he is talking about most of the time though. Check ALL the simple things
  19. If you are going to spray it, you need to add an adjuvent to the mix, because the leaves are waxy and the mix won't stick. If i remember rightly, the best time to spray is June time. Check ALL the simple things
