  1. Slightly off the subject . I read a book a good few year back which recommended stacking cut logs around a living tree . The theory was that the living tree would draw out the moisture from the stacked logs . I gave it a go all uncovered ...seemed to work . Well like for like it had better results than stacked alone ?
  2. ..... 1985 B reg Vauxhall Astra / Bedford Van . Within 3 months I had progressed to an E reg 1988 Bedford 2wd pick up . Which I had fitted high sides ....aka old cut up CO-OP Supermarket trolley you know those tall food cages And my ( beat any price slogan ) ....well me and Rodney are surviving ....just about ....Cushdy if you see trig tell him he owes me a monkey

  5. Its very similar to my back up machine . Jo beau 300 fixed to a tracked power barrow . Obviously without the hydraulic feed . I think my Jo Beau is more productive though as there no stress seems a tad lazy . A good well thought out machine none the less

  7. What ever you people buy make sure it doesn't have a key system similar to a vending machine ie a circle type lock n key . These locks are so easy to open ? Many bike locks and u locks have the same key system ...... They are joke really Home made security is the best by far . Although not certified . The crooks are up against something different Get a welder and get inventive: thumbup1:

  9. Well to the extent of my knowledge ......which is very very limited shopping wise . You get free bags at Primark because they are made of paper ? Also bags are normally free at card shops and the like . My good lady bought our dog a new bed for Christmas from a large pet retailer .....and they said because the bag had no handles it was free ? ......

  22. Yes I will happily second that ... Common sense is the key here I find it odd and very surprising how lots of tree workers I have met and worked with over the years seem to have very little in the way of common sense? On the other hand I have met some real knowledgeable guys
