  1. Never, never, never. That is a defeatists trick Matt! Mixed week on the bag (horribly stuck once), but a sublime first-time shot on a Cypress yesterday restored the karma, and twice today the bag saved me from climbing at all. The more I practice with it, the luckier I get! I am sad, though, and the cube quite often comes with me and my dog up the woods. And yes, I have had to walk home to pick up my climbing kit....
  2. I know I would have! Fair play Gibbon!
  3. Those pops will look nice when they are felled James! Nice property today, lovely people as well. They have an amazing carp pond with an underground room with viewing window. Ash reduction by R. Rule, sorry no before shot. Spec was to reduce away from Swamp Cypress on right, and all round to suit. Came out OK. I can't reduce Ash to save my life, so the Big Lad was promoted to the Premier League for the day.
  4. Got mine stuck today. Even the dream combo of Harrison Rocket and Zing-It lost when I threw it over a torn out Oak limb wound at 35ft. I could hardly pull the bloody thing out with my hands after huffing and puffing up there!
  5. Anyone who really hates the laws of our land so much should feel free to emigrate somewhere that doesn't have any, like Somalia....
  6. Muscle memory, man, you'll be fine. Totally agree about the 'roids. My benching is stuck where it was last year, but I ain't going down that route. I'm just not ready to accept I'm a little ectomorph who weighed 9 stone till he was 26 and have maybe pushed my genetics as far as they will go. 100kg for reps was my big goal, still is. Just knackered after work at the mo!
  7. Explain please mate? Do you mean using the bucket? Please tell me there's an easy way of rolling big pieces without bursting my ball-bag!
  8. Spotted. I'll remember that next time I get carried away with one of my 'reductions'!
  9. The truly sad thing is that his has taken so long to sort out.
  10. Be a while yet mate! He's a crazy size isn't he? He would probably p*ss the press up challenge as well, he'd only have to drop about 2 inches! He'll be dead because of 'roids within 15 years, though. I won't. It'll be alcohol....
  11. Some of the comments are more laughable than the original balls-up!
  12. Go for it mate! Dave, if you put any more vids of Ronnie Coleman up on my thread I'll chin you.
  13. Where did you get it Rob, I've been meaning to get one for a while now....
  14. The police have a tough job, but they don't help themselves. I think it's good that they stopped a couple of young lads, and asked questions about the gear they were carrying, but a couple of phonecalls would have sorted this out. My old groundie got a tug last year and the copper asked to see his licence for his chainsaw. WTF? Perhaps we'd have a better opinion of them if they put the same effort into pulling over dodgy looking trucks offering 'Proffesional Tree Lopping and Tarmaccing'.
  15. Mint mate, I'll be nicking that one for PITA log customers!
  16. I've done loads of work for different schools, and am not council approved. Usually teachers or governors I know have asked me to go and price. None of it has ever come for wallcharts or calendars, but they do ring me every year, bless them!
  17. Good call Mike, and great pics. I'm impressed you knocked that lump off then got down quick enough to help handle it on the deck. I reduced a 14ft Maple today. The GRCS would probably have stayed in the truck if I had one.
  18. This one is still available mate. I have adjusted the fuel mix to red wine, but it's still fairly juicy. PM me for a price.[ame=http://youtube.com/watch?v=Jzk0udBGkQk]http://youtube.com/watch?v=Jzk0udBGKQK[/ame]
  19. FFS don't do it on a Friday night Tom. I'll get really confused about crane work then.
