  1. thats pretty crap IMO the customers could of been given better advice and a better outcome. but if they like to look at that fair enough. looks like typical traveller work to be honest.
  2. Hi Mate hope you well. chipper is fantastic really chuffed with it.

  3. Don't buy of ebay as there silly money, get one from a dealer on here, yes there are other makes, echo, husky, efco, makita etc there all good but stihl has the edge IMO.
  4. No worries mate, come on over.
  5. GM every day of the week, TW are a poor and v old design to start with and what with chocolate bearings and ally fan blades! I have 2 GM a 9" and a quadchip and both machines are easy to work on and well built.
  6. Prune at base, Ash makes banging firewood I would go with B or C also, Ash will cope and lets face it it's not the best looking tree to start with.
  7. No you don't, its a conservation area! you should give notice of intents to work and the council has 6 weeks to stop you and can only do so by placing a TPO. You should still issue the correct form though. but to be honest it depends how well you get on with your TO.
  8. what if you don't have a tail gate?
  9. well done Ed thats a nice haul.
  10. Having a thicko moment again Tim:001_tt2:
  11. I would do some work for someone else to see if you like it first and to be honest i would not sink a load of money into this business thinking your going to make a good living in this climate, its hard for firms that have been going for years never mind new ones. Re train as a plumber, less over heads, less money in kit and more money in your pocket.
  12. i think if you have over so many employees it is. If you need a tick sheet do one on your pc, it aint hard to make a bull S1it sheet.....
  13. i only file by hand.
  14. follow manufacturers check lists.
  15. put some wood on it then:001_tt2: took 2 cube out yesterday but i guess it will tale off now, im up on sales over last year though.
  16. religion causes so much trouble throught out the world. each to there own though.
  17. Just a belt with mine, only the fatties need braces!
  18. Sack em both, all mp's are good for nothing spongers!
  19. No you can do what you want to it but you have to give the council 6 weeks notice if after 6 weeks you are legally allowed to go ahead if the council has not responded. The only way they can stop you is to put a TPO on the tree although they do try it on and haggle with you. Its more about letting the council know whats going on really rater than TPO work where you have to have permition befor hand.
  20. Now thats what i call brilliant!
  21. Dn't you find it a bit awkward for doing pruning work?
  22. Not uncommon for small domestic stuff to come out of china, stihl make some of there stuff in china!
  23. Thats the same cheap crap as i posted, made in poland out of old coke cans and knicker elastic. Rather than think about the price think about what they are really worth, the seller on ebay has to make money on the sale so how much are they really worth? Cant see what the problem is spending £200-£300 quid on good gear that will last years.
