  1. When I did the rear cross member on my 110 I stuck with standards as there cheap to replace and always available.
  2. 5010 great reels got three for my barbel fishing set up. For carp rods I would recommend the equivalent size to the old 8010/6010. That size spool diameter matches better to the size ring set up found on carp rods.
  3. Depending on the size of waters your after for the carp. 2.75lb test curve rods will be ideal for most. Free spirt do some great rods quality carbon at a decent price. A reel with free spool facility. Don t think you get much bad gear out there now as its only made in a few places in China just different brands. I used to be in the tackle industry as my dad ran one of the largest shops in the uk. Been out of the industry for a while as he sold the business to run a fishery in Norfolk but still involved in that.
  4. A mobility scooter trailer works well for my predator.
  5. Yep and the best pay load of them all. The cabstar has a 1/2 cubic m capacity over my transit also. I ve got about a 1.2 ton carrying capacity. The isuzu is very heavy you maybe lucky to get 3/4 of that. Depends how bothered you are about that.
  6. I was in a similar position with my 04 plate transit it was reliable enough but I fancied a change I went for a cabstar swb (60 plate with 25k)which I have to say I am very happy with. I looked at isuzu but there weren't many for sale or I wasn t quick enough. Since getting it had the body done, heavy duty springs fitted and these tyres Eurovan Winter It's a fantastic little truck now highly recommend and worth looking at. They can also tow 3.5ton.
  7. Midland road springs
  8. I have a 252 and had a demo of the sc30 when it first came out and the 252 is much more productive. My 252 had to finish off the demo I could not wait any longer and due to fixed safety bar at front it could not get close to the boundary fence line It's a nice machine but out classed by all the competition and its smaller and cheaper brother the 252.
  9. I paid £1000 for a 80 ton but they brought me a 150ton instead which was quite useful.
  10. Hi mate I don't know if king lifting work that far but had them on a job today and there were pretty good.
  11. When I had a tw 150 I went to Adan hydraulics they only cost me £175 each
  12. Yep I am going
  13. Very true. I ve just replaced my 11 year old transit and got a 5 year old cabstar that had only 25k on the clock. So far really happy. I ve spent abit on it getting it to my spec such as general winter tyres all round(look like general all terrains), chip box with integrated tool box and its having some heavy duty springs on the rear to look better with the weight in the back. I could not have afforded to spec up a new truck.
  14. Good call. Best of luck with it
  15. I presume you mean for the chest harness attachment if so i be now bought a small shackle from tool station to go on it to make it more user friendly. Before then I just cut abit of throw line to size.
  16. Get a climbing technology 1 there cheaper and lock onto the rope so you don t keep kicking out.
  17. Both Paul at Vermeer and dean at global are top blokes have bought machines from both highly recommend.
  18. My main problem is Doing it as I have to shoe horn all my gear in a single garage so don t have the time or space to take it a part then pack away and do it all over again. Would like to just take old ones off and do a straight swap around. Also so I don t forget where everything goes.
  19. These small skid steers wills after are not not really that practical for the weight of timber. I had several on demo down the yard moving logs about. Some of the logs which two men could lift tipped the machines out of balance. I would say to make it a practical choise it would need a half ton lift as logs are all manor of sizes and shapes. I would love to have a skid steer but think the only sensible machine would be avant or boxer type. which is much more than twice the price.
  20. Yep you can get them I looked for while but they are second hand with high hrs and probably cost more keeping going. Unless you want the wood try and find firewood guys that may want if they come and pick it up them selves. Works quite well for me some of them stick around and rake up. Bonus.
  21. Will how's things the small skid steers your thinking about are not really productive for the money. To make you need to spend more on a bigger machine. How many jobs do you do that warrant it's use. I ve got a predator 350 stumpy that I use if the Vermeer 252 won t go and it's very productive. I have done 2ft plus beech stumps quite happily. They don t go too deep unless you dig down. I rekon the 360 would great little machine and a much better investment and easier to push the service and get a greater return.
  22. Thanks guys I don t want to put crap ones on as its a pretty important part of the machine. But vermeers price seams pretty high at £125 each so good to get a comparison.
  23. Hi guys I need some new bearings for my cutting wheel. Has anyone used another supplier for this as vermeers price is very high. Also do you have the specs as I don't have the time to take mine off to then order some others. Would be good to have it all ready then I can fit over a weekend.
  24. treefrog

    110 Tipper.

Thing I find with land rover there's so many variables as I think it depended on how many tea breaks the guys making them had which then reflected on its spec.
  25. treefrog

    110 Tipper.

    Yeah towing weights only 2ton
