  1. Don't make light Bowlam, Granddad died in the war, fell out of his guard tower while drunk
  2. Start at the beginning, what licence do you have?
  3. I spent some time in Berlin What do you want to know
  4. To be honest these are bog standard conditions and nothing every operator doesn't have to deal with. Operating hours is so that you don't disturb the domestics, the no maintenance similarly to prevent things like noisy repairs, the lack of a proper maintenance facility is also a decider. The number of vehicle movements per day also a standard question. If you were based on, say an industrial estate you wouldn't have to deal with many of those issues. Welcome to the world of grown ups, the "O" licence is only a PITA till you get your head around it.

    Help

Red is on/off, (down for off) the blue is choke, (out for choke) A blue press in on the side is a de compression button, in for decomp out if you are a man From cold, choke then pull till it "coughes" then choke in and pull some more
  6. Foolish boy, an adult would be unlikely to eat the seeds but a child might. Dosage is relative to body mass so if a 6 foot 18 stone fool ate a seed or two the quantity of toxin ingested would be minor compared with say a small child who would be far more likely to eat them. So given that a small dose could seriously harm a child are you going to stand by that statement? As far as I can see the OP has done all they can and should stop listening to second guessers and break out the big saw.
  7. Looking at a "gob" its roughly triangular. The apex of a triangle is the highest point so yes the back cut should be a ways below the apex
  8. T kirk (Holmfirth) had one scheduled for 11/12/13 May that has been cancelled due to low interest If that's any good they may be able to get it back on...unless you were on that course?
  9. Perhaps because a chipper is pretty much a permanent fixture behind an arb truck only replaced now and again by a tipping trailer
  10. I for one am impressed, lets see how the vans clutch holds up over a longer test but its easy to make a case for increased clutch wear when the up side is a machine of that capacity. Keep on top of the brake adjustment, its easy to forget and you definitely wouldn't want that tail wagging the dog and the relative sizes might just get you a bit more interest from DVSA.
  11. I think the point is that is speeds the job up, probably adds up to a whole second or two over the course of a days work, it could be argued that its a simplification but who wants to trust a climber that cant manage a timber hitch:confused1:
  12. most peoples thoughts are anthro what????
  13. Dude, just pay for a banner advert and maybe help the forum a little instead of sneaking adverts in on a thread from 07 Bad form
  14. Well, if you are secure enough to sport the "Blue Oyster Bar" look go for it
  15. Christ don't put any slack in the equation, that's most of the problem:laugh1: The simple fact is the system could be made so much better so why wouldn't you?
  16. What about the fact that it doesn't have a lock, imagine the worst case, a load came adrift, and someone got hurt, wouldn't want to be trying to defend that one when locking terminations are readily available. For the ubiquitous H&S point of view, that type of connection would be viewed as sacrificing safety for speed. While the "new" system would probably be quicker, the gain in speed would be the time it would take for a biner to snap shut, so no appreciable gain, against a significant sacrifice in safety.
  17. I wouldn't use that to limit the suspect pool, When my 6 ton hiab "agricultural" trailer went it was towed away by 3 scrotes with a 7.5ton tipper I know another that lost a towed bailer, the scrotes used a ratchet strap to secure the AG ring hitch to the transits under run bar:thumbdown:
  18. Ha ha, this plan was suggested but has been rejected out of hand, even though its a tried and tested method. Ho hum
  19. Whatever, some folks you just can't reach
  20. Well I can see why you would dismiss that out of hand, I mean what would people in the Pennines know about wind and rain eh?
  21. Is it called Tesco 3G???? Yeah I know, get mi coat
  22. The set up I saw had 2 layers about 100mm apart and about 300mm from the wood
  23. Is that the mesh stuff? I saw a guy using that on the windward side of an open barn, stopped all the rain in its tracks.
  24. Its fuel back draining to the tank when not in use, that's why it happens shortly after the first run, its caused by air in the system that purges after a short time. If it were a filter issue the symptom would persist, as it is the engine starts on what it has in the system between the lift pump and the injectors then sorts itself out as the air purges out via the injectors.
  25. From what you have said, the lift pump would be my first suspect. They used to be repairable but these days they tend to be a throw away part. Swap it out or replace it with an electric one
