  1. I do a bit of climbing for him I will PM you his mobile
  2. That's what I did, moding it would certainly void the warranty.
  3. To be honest I don't rightly know what's happened internally, its got a new exhaust outlet and I think he has fitted some kind of "mega awesomeness" component somewhere. He is on here, speak to him.
  4. Its a good idea but you would need to cover the MAC Alister name or they will just laugh at it
  5. Just like to say a big thanks to Petemate for porting my 390XP The power upgrade is amazing, it now pulls a 36" bar like it used to pull a 24" With the 24" its a screaming madman, in the nicest possible way, its a "tad" louder than before and its developed a better liking for fuel but that's only to be expected Best £120 I have spent in a long time.
  6. HA ha I was thinking just that. I have heard the term a few times but never from anyone I particularly wanted to work with.
  7. If its anything like as good as the MAC Aister battery drill its well worth..................AVOIDING
  8. I think the point was that 8:30 is half way through the morning rather than a start time. Its grim up North:laugh1:
  9. Its a microwave transmitter, I don't know how bad it can be, its not like you see microwaved birds dropping out of the sky around the masts but if they see fit to put a warning there.......
  10. Then you say to ebay here is a copy of the POD now hand my cash back or court action follows
  11. Cool, its December, bleeding freezing mate:laugh1:
  12. Only if you are fool enough to let them leave without signing for the item
  13. The part I disliked the most was the warning sticker with dire consequences of getting in front of the microwave dish.
  14. I did a fair bit of work for a network that makes much use of line of sight dishes They did a fair bit of lopping and removal but it was all done by negotiation.
  15. They both use Kubota engines. Depending on model the starter could be compatible
  16. You malign the industry, the bloke cold be on the way to his first job:laugh1::laugh1:
  17. This is another suspicious looking ebay listing Follows the format of other recent dodgy looking listings My apologies to the seller if this is genuine unimog tree surgeon army show room condition | eBay
  18. You come across like a proper conspiracy theorist. If the recording leads to people paying tax surely its just the tax that's due and not "more tax". My local scrap yard runs a register of recorded ID's so you don't have to dig it out and get it copied each time and its nothing to do with VAT registration.
  19. They don't give the money back if there is a dispute, they give it back if they find in the other persons favour. A dispute raised against me was a chancer who thought he could take the kit, use it and reject it. eBay found in my favour and didn't give him a penny. The difference is that if something goes through paypal, ebay has the money to give back, if the buyer doesn't pay they don't have the money to give you.
  20. Now I have used ebay a lot for buying and selling, I have had my share of success and failure but its a system and you just need to follow the rules. Not that I am trying to defend ebay but......... What did you expect them to do? Its not like they can make him pay up You can protect the value of the item with a reserve You get the buyers details as soon as the hammer falls, just click on send and invoice and it gives you the registered address. Taking your payment details off will make your account pretty much useless.
  21. That's where I got mine
  22. its not difficult, the main difference between a rear and front mount is that you need to space the rear of the chassis rails to stop them falling inwards Most cranes have a mechanical lock to stop them working over the cab, take note of where this is, you may have to alter it to get a decent swing The side tip is simple to do and you can save some weight by leaving the tipping ram out and tipping the body by using the crane. Watch out for the rear axle load
  23. I have a couple of sim based trackers and I am happy with them, the trick with any tracker is getting to the kit before the scrote has time to kill your tracker.
  24. If you mean 8 hours of cranking then that should give you many years of service, 8 hours of chipper run would be somewhat excessive, the brushes would be hardly bedded in. Swapping the brushes is however something that's well within the abilities of the DIY'er
  25. The tag on the tail of the rope is usually a batch number, the serial number is usually on the one at the spliced end. Not having a batch number isn't a tragedy. If the tail end tag does have the serial number just move it to the spliced end with a bit of new shrink tube (as others have said)
