    Happy Xmas

have a good christmas guys, and a prosperous new year.
  7. we do work for a housing agency and we usually get a list of jobs and will drive round and look at each tree beforehand and price them individually...hourly rate off the back of an office workers spec must be a nightmare.
  8. ah sorry I thought you had started it already...I would say take the loss and make some of it back when you go back to take the tree down, but on an hourly rate I don't see how you can do that. Just tell them you will have to charge them some travelling costs for the wasted journey.
  9. [ame]http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-7k1NdxjnFc&feature=channel_page[/ame] thats our very own steve bullman slack tending a vt setup...hth
  10. is it the norm to not price the work yourself..?..even council work..? Same as ever really, how do you think the powers that be would take it if you explained the situation to them..?..Is there much money on the job..? Looks really limited for room there, can you zip the brash out over the garages, and handball the cord into the woody area behind the tree..?
  11. is AHS doing the cutting as well matt..??..do you have your workboots on?
  12. looks like it was a fresh morning....any damage to the poles..?
  13. Part_1 Part_2 Part_3 some powerful images, well worth a look through. enjoy
  14. those 2 fellas make me laugh, will be watching that.
  15. I took this with a sony ericsson mobile phone...who needs slr's Nick, that photo is stunning mate.
  16. thats a lot of woodchip...!!
  17. can't do the 27th, got something on....26th or 28th 29th 30th

  18. 8 hybrid poplars..(not very big).. to reduce tomorrow then off till the 5th...
  19. have 2 or 3 bottles of this in the fridge. It's realy nice...more of a spice sauce than a hot chilli sauce, if you want your mouth to melt this is not for you....but it goes with pretty much anything from a nice chicken dish to a cheese sandwich..the new apple and tomato sauce is lush, and for when you want something a bit hotter just chuck in a few extra dry crushed chilli's.
  20. nice idea. I cut ours into short lanyards with an eye at one end choked up onto a biner and a double stopper at the other end as a kind of handle...ideal for cut and holds on branches that are too risky to hold by hand but not enough of a problem to rig...cut - swing - drop.
  21. best video must go to "Just when you think you're at the top of your game" i reckon..
  22. thats ^^ animal cruelty right there!!
  23. I have a pair of unused "long spikes" for my bashlins....don't know why I bought them really..
  24. looks stunning dean. top marks:001_smile:
  25. if you manage to get out to the end but can't maintain balance, theres nothing wrong with setting up a second rope, on a shortener or hitch, anchored from a different angle so you can stand easily and shift your weight to reach the cuts.
