  1. i use niftys i think they are just that. I can do 15-20m streches of hedge very fast without moving one.
  2. Most climbers are built well i dont think the average women has the same endurance as the average male climber. Dont get me wrong there are some girly boys out there. Im sure some women can climb and do a acceptable job i just dont think they can match the speed of men day in day out. Men are at a huge physical advantage strength counts working muscles hard all day every day. But damn i would still love to work with female climbers so you got your work cut out women but most definalty welcome into arb.
  3. Looks like a lovly monday morning all you need is some rain and thats a real crappy day lol.
  4. Just the way i learnt give a little back sometimes does you rep good. Any way i never did charge the extra i decided it was not smart and would teach me a better lesson.
  5. Normally the big shiny adds are pikeys.. But dont blame them blame cheap arse customers who keep them working cos there to tight to pay for skilled workers.
  6. Theres a pill called chill think you need a bottle. haha was we watching the same thing stupid.
  7. haha just been watching that is it £1 per kilo over weight. why cant they make a 5 tonne truck that carries 3.5
  8. Funny you say that just done myself with silky through the nail. No chainsaw cuts and i hope never.
  9. Well based on writtles 4 to 1 thats £3440 for 5 days work cs30-31. I think thats taking the piss but hey greedy trainers are nothing new. Im sure they have costs but im also sure there making a killing robbing us. For what they charge we should be a 1 on 1 trainer for the week.
  10. Yes actually if finish to early i offer some money back.
  11. I have my company logo burned into the plastic casings
  12. Flyers are a good start i still use that way of advertising every 12 months just because i think every little helps. Normally i get oh we see you near us and you done a nice job. Make sure they have the right info
  13. I hear what your saying but i was still cheaper by a long shot even after the increase. But hey lesson learned i will be charging what i think the job is worth not trying to beat every other price.
  14. I did estimate not a quote. I never ask for more ever this is a first i just could not complete the second day unless he agreed the extra. I took in a break down of my costs to prove im not swindling him. I do feel like an arse an yes very embarrest but i grew some balls and had no choice. I actually lost £6 pounds after i paid all out not a good week haha gotta laugh or ill go and cry myself to sleep for being such an nob.
  15. Guys after some of the what would you have done advice Gave a customer an estimate started the job priced for one full day turns our to be twice as much to do as i first quoted for. Any way ended up 2 full days so i asked for an extra 75 quid on the job as that covered my exact costs. I cocked right up they got the job for the price it cost me to do i earned nothing. Do you think it was fair to ask for that little bit extra to cover costs bearing in my it was an estimate not a written quote.

Im using a vt now but on new rope got the sam arbormaster and my 8mm cord grips superb with a vt. On my old england rope i thought the vt was crap.
  18. I dont go cheap im not a pikey my work is good that takes time i simply explain to my customers they will be getting it done the way they want it if they use my service. I know how much a decent company can charge so any less and there not insured or qualified to offer silly low prices.
  19. Ok refrase i paid for it takes 2 weeks tho they did say could take 2 months. They was abit vague so i just thought if i got it shuts em up for three years. It still annoys me we really do recycle 100percent. The place i go just got machine that chips logs brash the works so any logs not used get chipped sold and reused. But its the transporting of the chip that they get you on. You need a license to transport chip brash and logs But hey if you wanna play in their court gotta play by their rules as much as i love a winge.
  20. Well after slapping myself many times i got a waste license its not complicated and they dont need to know where your waste comes from and goes as our waste is general green waste not hazardous.
  21. What a load of bull. you cant do this untill you have that nptc have done this so you have to do the lot. Cutting trees cant be tought by some week long courses. It takes years of experience. Its about time we were rewarded for the amount of time served. Why do you guys wonder why so many people dont get qualified whats the point i wasted so much money for nothing i mean council work is underpriced and not worth the hassell .
  22. You are screwed if you hurt yourself that bad far from hospital. Just dont take risks if you feel your at risk get down i have and also been called a tart. My reply is simple i dont need the money. But i do need all my limbs they are without doubt priceless. Guys treat your body like its made from diamonds without it you got nothing.
  23. Id say that is a bear cat re painted. briggs engine looks 18-20hp I would also say surely thats not for tree surgery no offence just looks like it would struggle chipping a pencil lol.
  24. What this means is huge increases in cost for the tree owner so most tpo trees will get left for years and years untill there in dire condition. Watch out for consultants nicking your tpo work and passing it on to freinds for little bungs this is what will happen.
  25. Cheers Tony. I think the new form is much better no mistakes so home owners have to stick to it. The only thing i aint sure on is im not a consultant as yet but im knowledgable in identifying dying or damaged trees does this mean i cant apply to remove a tree which has clear damage or danger of failing because im not a consultant.
