:scared1:HAHA cheers guys that cheered me up no damage to ally fins cant see any damage so hopefully lucky. i have a small tw. I just cant believe it chipped a whole rake.

So working away today next thing i here the chipper make a retarded noise look down groundie chipped an entire ally wolf garten rake so after some light abuse towards my numpty goundie checked machines blunt teeth couple little dents in the ally fins. It chipped a 1 inch by 4 inch steel rod bent it up and mashed the rake into many tiny pieces. Can any one offer some advice of what could have damaged that :confused1:i cant see how can i test etc cheers lads.

Bio oils offer poorer lube and gum up also when they contact warm parts of the saw they stick to it like glue. Ill stick with good old oil that works. I mean ok enviro friendly but dont we cut down trees kind of an irony lol.

If you are smart you will be holding fire for at least untill after xmas to see how bad this CC is going to get if we are heading for recess do not start up you may end up crying. This is the time when little companies are going to really be competitive with prices an a new company will suffer. Good luck an all that but i noticed a slow down in work so has every company i know and i know about 25-30. Council work is still ok for now its domestic as customers are holding onto there cash longer and are not easy spending right now.

First they start with little things next only govenment approved tree workers can enter any forest. They are secretly but blatantly forcing us back into slavery only they slapped a nice new name on it the working class. I hope england sinks i got me canoe. -
just to clear i dont work for customers on day rate one of my close freinds who does tree work but is a landscaper cant climb passes all tree work onto me. I just feel they keep asking for more and more and later and later days im getting pissed off so just wanted to see if i should be getting miffed. Really i should be charging £500-550 a day which sounds fair to me.

I was getting £120 a day for normal stuff. Just to add i only got qualified after 5 years of climbing. Was not going to waste all that money untill i knew i was staying in the trees. Point being i earned a rep for good shaping etc and good speed qualifications matter very very little. You cannot be taught this job in college a persons ability depends on passion for the job attention to detail. And COMMON SENSE i worked with some right tits put a rake down a forget where they just put it or cant find the earmuffs cos there still on there head lol. I would only employ a climber with min 3 years thats just when you learn the basics. -
Guys what would you charge for a day for the following. Hire out my company 1 truck 1 chipper 1 climber 1 groundsmen all the gear needed for any tree size. Also take away the chips and pay to tip off. So basically a date rate for hire out your company. Cheers

Smoking is dumb and dirty. Why do people still do it knowing the damage ignorance. But this is about working away i dont think they guy has given enough info to go with. How long when where would they be staying whats the starting wages etc.

Pikeys have rightly earned there shame. They theif from kids elderly any one who has any thing they can make money from. But this dont help the chap wanting info on starting up. Best to avoid cheap customers they do you no favour. Dont undercut your get to stressed all the time charge a fair price which gives you the time to do a good job/.

Ill never be AA think its aload of crap. When i applied i thought were does a small compant fit in they want to know who answers your phone how quick what time you get up. What a joke all for a little logo. I know a aa aprooved company seen some really crap jobs so how does that offer a good company. JUST MEANS THEY CAN CHARGE MORE

I have used fully ticketed climber/groundies who are just crap cant tie two ropes together. You cant get a ticket for experience thats the only qualification. But the government cant charge you for it bet the would love to. Everyone has been brainwashed into believing if you have a ticket your a tree surgeon. Im sure the british empire was built and protected by wooden ships cut in the millions but unqualifed surgeons. -

Its all the same everywhere i have noticed this game is unbelievable with the bitching tho. I say sod em just concentrate on your work and let them waste time bitching. People only start bitching if there low on there own work.

We dont always use two lines every cut. Makes me realise the times i let my saw to close to my line. Obviously hope the guy lives and can have a good quality of life. Those injurys sound extreamly painful. Thank you for posting sometimes we feel alittle to comfortable and need to know the reality of what risk we are all putting ourself in.

Check all fuses and connections. make sure the terminals aint corroded etc. there bomb proof so i woulf have thought the above more then a broken charging unit.

Its simple no chainsaw should be sold to any one without the minimum quals like 30-31-38-39 but can you image the chainsaw companies they need idiots to buy there saws and throw away chains as they cant shapen them. No matter how much paper you throw our way its only the pros who suffer and make using cheaper firms oh so much more apealing. The only people who benifit from legislation are the government why do we need more permission to carry on doing what we do. -
My thoughts exactly but i keep em for two years seems to be the time they get abit lame.

I just found they never run as good as the first couple of years. After that no matter what you do they never run as good. Point being i use my 200 the most so i want the best performance only new saws run spot on. But agree they can last for 10 years but there still not be any where near as good as new.

sounds like a minger once they start cutting out all the time its a £70 new carb and that dont always work. Never buy old top handels or your getting the worst use out of it. There good for 2 years 3 at most then they become noticably crap.

Being cheaper does not always work. I charge what i think the job is worth to me any less and ill walk away done need the stress let some one else cut their own throat

orange plant no longer sell the relays there are two types. They might have some knocking about if not you will have to buy the new style switch box. same prob i got brand new switches prob sorted
